4 clean sheets.
Not quite. We conceded against Donny. ;) What you can say is we've gone 4 games without conceding from open play. Cherry picking, but there you go.

Can't get a read off this team. Picking up wins which is always good, but the performances seem all over the map. Some really good performances, some that sound decidedly iffy. But we keep picking up points. Pleased some of the youngsters are stepping up now, can't keep relying on Dagnall, Lowe and Kiwomya every week. Need some of our own products to chip in, so pleased to see Cooper and Jones bag goals.

Up to 3rd now. Jeez, getting a nosebleed being this high!

Don't read too much from winning at Blundell Park. You have a very good record there; Crewe's long long history of having players that look after the ball well doesn't suit us - we tend to feed off opposition errors with a pressure game at home. Teams that keep shape well do well against us - Braintree nil'd us over about 6 hours of football last season until we put them under so much pressure, on a very hot Sunday afternoon and one then their defenders lost the plot a gave away a pen - otherwise we wouldn't be in this league...
I think we may get as many points away from home this season - counter attacking through the pace we now have.

First game of the season for me and non the wiser if we're actually any good. Was a pretty dull game but we were comfortable throughout and (having not seen anyone else) if Grimsby are about standard for L2 then perhaps relegation worries were a bit extreme after all.

Be still amazed if we remain in the top seven but it'd be nice for us to be that surprise consistent team that push for promotion. Seems like Kiwomya has dislocated his shoulder though which will be a bit of a shitter.

It's making me wonder if maybe there's a little more of a gap between Leagues One and Two than is generally acknowledged, as we've been bang average for quite a lot of the season yet we've still looked comfortable in most games and have started well enough. Blackpool are a bit of a headcase but the other three of us have all started well which I wasn't really expecting. Nobody has really looked to be any good to be honest.

Sounds about right as from our first 8 games it has only been against Colchester and Crewe that we have been outplayed, the others we have dominated 5 (although only won 3 due to defensive errors v Orient and falling apart for 20 mins at Notts County) and a very even game v Wycombe.

Definitely a bigger gap than a lot of people think. Bar a couple of teams (us being one for the last few years) league 1 standard is pretty decent these days. Some decent quick attacking football in that league that punish the weaker sides, it's easy to get spanked 5 or 6 in that league.

What's with Grimsby's pitch? Watching channel 5 highlights and it like goes onto a hill in the middle of each 18 yard box. Looks weird.

One for the Grimsby fans. I decided to be really sad and pause my TV several times for your disallowed goal. Definitely onside. That should cheer you up.....

Something to do with the drainage, it's been like it for years. The water all stays down the middle underneath the pitch, raising it; it looks even worse behind the goals!

All refs were awful today. Crewe seemed to have mastered the art of falling over easily.

See, after watching League One constantly for the last 2 years, I can't believe that. Last season, the standard of League One was shocking, really really shocking. Even Wigan weren't that great, they only beat us 1-0 at the DW and drew 1-1 with us at Gresty Road. Took 2 draws off Burton, grabbed results against a number of the other promotion chasers. League One was utterly dreadful for the most part. Maybe the gap between L1 and L2 is bigger than people think, but L1 isn't a decent standard of football, not based on last season anyway.

Good. We're way too naive in how we teach our kids to play football. If they have learned how to fall over and win decisions, so be it.

League 1 is poor. League 2 is absolutely horrific. The standard (so far) has completely shocked me. It's so bad, that winning doesn't give you any great pleasure. It just feels routine. It seems like the standard has dropped considerably from the last time we were here.

The amount of times we were called offside yesterday whilst clearly onside was pretty laughable.
There was one in the second half when Bogle went to play Tuton in and he clearly timed his run and was well behind the defender and the flag went up, thankfully the defender cut thd ball out anyway so it didn't matter but we all looked at each other in disbelief it was so obvious!
The offside 'goal' to be honest looks that tight that i can understand that one not being given, the worst decision for me all game was our non penalty in the second half when your defender wrestled Tuton to the floor as he was about to put in Bogles cross from the left.

Like last week against Exeter, I didn't think we were outstanding but the opposition never really tested Garratt that much. That said, our own performance was better than last week and we could've had a few more goals to make the scoreline look more convincing.

Still think we can play a lot better than we are but very pleased with our start so far. Two games against out of form sides Blackpool and Wycombe coming up means we have a great chance of maintaining this newly acquired momentum.

Haha, you definitely don't wanna go down to the Conference then.
