Sooner or later it'll be down to regional mediators Oman to get them to all grow up and sit down and talk again, as per usual.

Anyone ever think we picked the wrong horse in the great Sunni/Shia schism? The irony of us consistently blaming Iran for terrorism when they are Shia, and, last I checked, Al Qaeda and Daesh Sunni, is extraordinary.

Iran is going to last a lot longer than Saudi Arabia, it has a young, educated population and at least the trappings of a democracy as well as far more economic diversification. I just don't get this trade. I was talking to a strategic big wig who explained that flipping sides would doom us to an endless array of Saudi jihadist attacks, but that's kinda what we got ain't it?

Saudi are Zions as much as Israel.

Noticed Qatar has been solved by blackmailing them to buy weapons. Playground stuff.
