a lot of revelations in a solid episode to set up the penultimate and traditional big episode, and the trailer looks great

I thought the last episode was lazy in how fast they travel around all of a sudden, I know it needs to speed things up a bit as it nears an end but they could do it in a more constructed way rather than them already getting to their destination in the next flipping scene. Another thing I thought was quite daft was at the end where Jon's group meets up with the Hound's group and each character comes out with their usual one liners and pointless bickering, the whole scene just felt poorly written and cheap.

Oh and one more thing, why does Danerys not just take her 3 dragons north of the wall and burn the entire dead army?

I'm kind of accepting of the fact that time moves at whatever sort of pace it wants to on the show now. Sam mentioned that Bran had survived beyond the wall for YEARS. I had no idea that years had passed in that time...

It costs huge amounts per episode now so they've cut all the filler out of episodes and getting on with the key plot points,this season wouldn't have seen anymore plot points except the added filler stretching things out and they're saving millions which can instead be pumped into CGI (loot train attack as an example) and actors wages.

If they had not had all that pointless boring crap in the previous 2 seasons with that High Sparrow character then they would have been able to have had what is happening now earlier and they could of done it without cutting filler scenes.

Unlikely as the events in Kings Landing corresponded with what was happening elsewhere, Danny's invasion couldn't have started earlier to meet Jon etc as he'd have still be north gathering an army for the battle of the bastards.
