I feel a bit for the bloke because he's trying his best and plowed loads of his own money in, sadly he doesn't know anything about football and his pr leaves a lot to be desired. The mongs have outed him but they better hope the grass is greener, this will rumble on for a while as it won't be easy to find someone to make up his investment.
Football fans can be horrible bastards. We had same problem with Lerner. We loved him when we were one of the biggest spenders in Europe, paying big wages. Things never went to plan and he decided to stop funding. His money, his choice. A few bad decisions made, but we all make them, and he was hated with a passion. He sells up, and we end up nearly being taken to the cleaners by some bloke who hasn’t a clue, and doesn’t have money available. We sell again, but luckily we are in steady hands now, I hope. I hope things get sorted for Wednesday. A fine club.

Regularly charging people £40+ to watch low quality Championship football matches, my heart bleeds for him

Fan’s money doesn’t cover anything apparently according to him and Meire (She said the same thing when at Charlton.)

They really are thick some of these people in charge of football clubs, it’s scary.

Also, if the money fans bring in is so futile, why is he fleecing them for £40?

I do feel for both fans and owner, tbh. Many foreign owners come in to football thinking it's easy. They come accompanied by advisors who tell them it's easy and that a bit of cash up front is all that's needed for the next decade and before long they'll be holding PL trophy, FA Cup, Crapiboo, Champions League. Just like the Venkys, Dushitelet, Yeung, Lerner all did in their heyday. Fastest way to become a football millionaire is to start as a billionaire and buy a football club.

But the fans are their own worst enemy too. The basic expectation when a new owner takes over is for instant succession of uninterrupted victories (breaking records along the way) until that glorious day, four years later when the club has risen spectacularly from League 2 to the top of the PL, treble-winners and agreeing that the turning point came when Messi, Ronaldo, Kane and Nile Ranger all signed for the club on free transfers on the same day.

Balancing the budget and expectations is extremely hard and very few clubs have owners with unlimited funds and unlimited passion for the club. In a funny way, football at the very top (maybe top 5) is about a squad of the best players money can buy. For everyone else below, football seems to be as much about the club.....the fanbase, the away support, the camaraderie, the rivalries, the standing on a Tuesday night in the rain in February away at Vale Park singing obscenities at a fat linesman.

£40 for shit Championship football is a small price to pay for belonging. What's the club supposed to do? Lower the price (and thereby having to refund thousands of season ticket holders) and risk losing money..salaries of players, staff, security, admin still has to be paid, mortgages, insurance, kits....it's all still there no matter how shit you are playing. Reality is that one day, something will go right, the club will swoop up the league and get promoted (obviously except Derby and Leeds) and everyone is marvelling at the magic on show for £40.

To be fair our season tickets cover fuck all, doesn't even pay for Fletcher's weekly hair transplant.

It’s the fact that both he and the likes of Meire spectacularly miss the point that the majority of external income to a football club is because of the fans.

Who buys the tickets?
Who buys the memberships?
Who buys the programmes?
Who buys the food and drink?
Who buys the merchandise and replica kits?
Who are the sponsors paying millions to target?
Who are advertisers or tv companies paying millions to target?

The fact a football related incident is being dragged through the courts is a joke, what a waste of money.

Read Birmingham spend 202% of their revenue on wages !

Madness ..

And most of the other Championship clubs were close to or above 100%.

Not sustainable is it ..

He's been charged with racially aggravated harassment. He isn't exempt from the law because he plays football.
And really couldn't happen to a nicer bloke. So pleased to see that he has a career beyond diving and writhing around on the pitch.

Admit I'm impressed with how well Birmingham are doing this season. The Baggies and Villa have both got parachute money and decent support, whereas Brum are flying high despite having a mediocre squad (bar one or two) and having to play behind closed doors this season. Kudos.

Ha behind closed doors. They are averaging more than what wolves were two year ago mind. That’s before all the plastics came out and started supporting wolves again ;)

In the style of Villa's tweet last week

Wolves average home gate 16/17 = 21,570
Birmingham average home gate 16/17 = 18,717

What was the outcome of that anyway?
Court case in March, CPS accepted they'd not sent the information to his address nor the club, he attended magistrates at the first available date to be told that there is a trial

Katrien Meire has left the club, Bobbin can go back to not caring about us again ;)

Some of the mongs on the internet think this is a Steve Bruce decision. Imagine being able to sack your own gaffer.
