Yeah, I'll watch it too in a few minutes. Hoping for a cracker too and a win for Leipzig (can't believe I wrote that. Impossible for me 1 1/2 years ago but since they are in the Bundesliga I kind of like their style of football (except in 2 games every season ;) ).

Aye I'll be rooting for them tonight as well, and eager to see Keita play (if he is playing that is).

Keita getting walked all half and he's the one ending up with a caution! Red Bull in more dangerous positions but it's still goalless. Bayern aren't playing well though which is good.

Hmm. Keita sent off and Red Bull denied a stonewall penalty. Typical.

Goody! Extra-time and maybe shoot-outs. Don't think I've seen Bayern in a shoot-out session since their CL win back in 03!

20 minutes in. Orban sent off for Red Bull, James opens the score. Game over.

It lasted 9 matches....the hope of a new champion. But after matchday 10 it's groundhog day again.... Bayern on top for the first time this season. Seems that Jupp Heynckes is really the messiah :D. In only 3 Buli matches under him Bayern came from 5 points behind to a 3 points lead in the standings.Dortmund on the other side made the opposite way :D . Next saturday they'll meet in Dortmund (and before Christmas in the 1/8 finals of the Cup)

RB Leipzig will think they are cursed against Bayern. 4 matches against them and the 3rd time they got a red card. In the Cup match on Wednesday the video evidence wasn't allowed (only in the later rounds) and they were denied a clear penalty (Ok tbh the later penalty against Bayern was a referee's concession ). And on saturday they got a red card after the referee watched the video of Orban's foul. :D

It was a red though. Denied Robben a clear goalscoring opportunity.

Dirk going to watch Mainz v Koln and Schalke v Hamburg in a couple of weeks. Any recommendations?? What is Mainz and Gelsenkirchen like?? Any lower league teams around Koln as that's where I'm staying that are worth watching??

too many to mention. The Area nearby, the Ruhr region is the most heavily populated area in Germany where you'll find many traditional clubs who once played in the Bundesliga and are nowadays in the 3rd or 4th tier (like Essen, Oberhausen) and some 2nd Bundesliga team or outside the area traditional clubs like Alemannia Aachen or Preußen Münster and so on.
Or you visit the Capital of North Rhine Westphalia, Düsseldorf (approx 40 km from Köln) where the Fortuna is actually on top of the 2nd Bundesliga. Both Cities have a "love-hate" relationship.
Anyway, I wish you a good stay in Germany with some great matches. Hope my HSV will win one for you at Schalke (and for me, of course :D )

Mainz is alright. Go to Frankfurt if you want to have some fun.

Werder lost again, 1-2 in Frankfurt. Not always brings a sacking of the coach immediate success. Bremen is not Bayern. :D
Together with Köln the only winless team in the Bundesliga (hopefully Köln will change that on sunday in their home match against Hoffenheim. The "Geißböcke" had a brilliant 2nd half in the Europa League against Bate where they scored 4 goals and changed the 1-2 at half time in a 5-2 win)

At the top we have the matches #2 (Dortmund) vs #1 (Bayern) and #3 (Leipzig) vs #4 (Hannover). The Lower Saxonians are the real surprise this season (they were already very good in their last 2nd Bundesliga season).

HSV at home against promoted Stuttgart. I'll be watching this, I am capable of suffering.

What a shit matchday

HSV lost 0-2 at Schalke.
Bloody Max Kruse revived and Werder wins its first home match.
Dortmund lost again (1 lousy point in 5 matches now), Bayern wins again and is now 6 points clear of Schalke and Leipzig

btw: Dortmunds famed Chiefscout Sven Mislintat leaves for Arsenal. Not a good sign for Dortmund and even the Bundesliga.

I did call that putting Bosz in such a position was a very big risk. Starting to look like a bad move now...

Enjoyed Mainz. Koln is a great city. The views on the train were spectacular from Koln to Mainz. Unfortunately couldn't get a ticket to Schalke v Hamburg but never mind.
Dortmund, Leverkusen, Koln and Fortuna Düsseldorf done now. Need to do Schalke and Moenchengladbach in that region now. Maybe Bochum as well

Biggest comeback since Lazarus. 0:4 down at halftime and winning a point in the end at Dortmund.

Never saw this coming. Dortmund 4-0 in front after 25 minutes. Reminds me a bit of our 4-4 in the Euro 2016 Qualifier against Sweden

Gladbach actually 2-0 in front against Bayern at half-time. This will be interesting in the 2nd half.

edit: Thank God, Bayern lost 1-2.

Yes they sacked him today and replaced him with......Peter Stöger, who was sacked last week at Köln :fl:

OK, he was available at short notice but wtf. I like Peter Stöger, typical Austrian, likeable with a good "Schmäh" but this can't be for long, can it? Maybe a hint that they are waiting for Nagelsmann or Hannes Wolf from Stuttgart (who coached at Borussia before in youth levels).
Anyway, losing at home against Werder Bremen (although they are on the up actually) is embarassing and something had to be done. Now they are even out of the Europa League places, all in 2 months when they were on top with 5 points lead. How the mighty have fallen :D

edit: Ah, I see, Stöger's contract is valid until the end of the season.
