Has anybody been to any lately or have any lined up?

I went to see SBTRKT and Jamie xx on Friday as part of the iTunes Festival. Really enjoyed it despite not knowing any of SBTRKT's stuff beforehand.

I'm also off to see the Libertines on Saturday presuming they decide to turn up.

Glastonbury tickets are on sale on 1 October, too. Will be my fourth time if I'm lucky enough to get tickets again!

I did V festival about 3-4 years ago now and loved it, but I'm not sure I'd bother again. It was just so much effort, I had tonsilitus from it, was filthy and stinking and it rained most of the weekend. On the flipside, it was an amazing atmosphere, David Geutta, Kasabian etc were very good live and who doesn't love getting drunk around their mates with loads of females and booze?

Err, lined up thus far are:
Peace @ Bodega, Nottingham & Peace @ New Slang, Kingston (local club night)
Sherlocks in Derby
Blossoms @ Boileroom, Guildford
Catfish & The Bottlemen @ o2 Academy, Sheperd's Bush
Wombats @ Leadmill
Circa Waves @ Rescue Rooms
Courteeners @ Heaton Park

Oh, and Reading Festival.
Want to do Wolf Alice at Sub89, Reading and possibly one of The View's dates. Reckon The Fratelli's and Rev will tour so will no doubt end up with those as well should they happen.

Saw Sherlocks in York a couple of months ago, decent and nice lads when chatting to them hope they do well this year.
Blossoms did they support the courteeners? Didn't rate them if they are who i'm thinking of
Catfish as said will see them in Liverpool Van is one cool ass motherfucker
Wombats, didn't realise they were on until it was too late and sold out here :(
Circa Waves, saw them in Liverpool for a pound just before christmas, would love to see them again this year
Courteeners- Tick

Saw Wolf Alice at 2000 trees in the summer they were awesome.

Yeah, Blossoms are the ones that supported Courteeners. Had no intention to see them, but a mate text and said he'd got me a ticket...Saw Bottlemen at their album release show in Kingston last September. £8 for album, gig and club night after(£5 on the door) is the best value for money I've had in a while, they're awesome live.

As mentioned in the other thread, I've met Circa Waves after their gig at Bodega. Seriously down to earth, and hope they do a Bottlemen-esque explosion after their album. If anything I'd put money on them being 'bigger' than CATB.

EDIT: Just got Cribs tickets for New Slang as well. £10 for the album + ticket. Happy days.

Off to see Slipknot on the 26th in Nottingham. I cannot wait, it will be insane.

I have seated tickets but I'm hoping once the gigs in flow we'll be able to sneak into standing and go mental.

Got nothing coming up for a while unfortunately. Recently seen Machine Head, Darkest Hour and Heart Of A Coward in Plymouth, Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds in Cardiff and Eluveitie, Arkona and Skálmöld in Bristol. All were incredible.

Really thin on the ground this year compared to last year. Decided to go and see Morrissey next month. Not sure what to expect TBH.

My gig list is depressingly thin at the moment having seen We Are Scientists and Robert Randolph and the Family Band in quick succession at the end of last year. Only got The Wombats in London lined up at the moment, will defo be getting myself a ticket to see the legend that is Weird Al Yankovic too :hail:

They are absolutely fucking nuts . I saw them years ago and they are still the loudest thing I've heard .

Temples Festival in Bristol in May, Hevy Fest at Port Lympne in August and probably Damnation Festival in Leeds in November. All three festivals are completely different, but all should be blinding weekends.

My latest gig was The Dexters at The Roadhouse in Manchester.

Sam Smith in March - O2 Apollo (Mrs made me take her)
The Courteeners in June - Heaton Park

Absolutely gutted I couldn't get tickets for Catfish and the Bottlemen :(. Anyone know when the next tour is, preferably Manchester?

They've released two dates at Brixton in November, so guess they'll be doing a winter tour as well. Managed to sell out Brixton Academy in under an hour (5,000 capacity). Phenomenal rise since The Balcony was released.

Slipknot in Slipknottingham.

Amazing.

King 810, a hybrid of Coal Chamber and Slipknot, they were a bit shit. Korn were unbelievable, Jonathan Davies' vocals were on point and then Slipknot. Wow. By far the best band I've seen live, Shawn Crahn got in the stands and did a few selfies but I was a level too high. Unbelievable show.

Peace and Sherlocks gigs have been now - Peace was enjoyable, liking the new stuff more than their first album. Sherlocks were very good, but some songs were hit and miss. Club Foot, Chasing Shadows and You've made a Mistake to finish was brilliant.

As said earlier in the thread, really nice lads. Came out beforehand and had a photo with the group of 6 of us which they've stuck up on their Facebook :D

Saw Viet Cong at Deaf Institute last week, was impressed. Probably my favourite album released so far this year.

Gutted TV on the Radio have cancelled their European tour, was going to see them at the Manchester Albert Hall this month.

Have you been Canal Mills before? Saw Duke Dumont there last year, interesting venue.

Back to Deaf Institute on Friday to see Boxed In, got the day off work so a full day of drinking in Manchester is on the cards.

No I've never been, been told the same though! A few people have been bugging me to go so just had to wait for a decent gig to show itself. Should be good.
