I already mentioned it "on the other side" that I once saw him playing, when I was a kid. It was in 1972 when he came to Hamburg, together with other greats like Bobby Charlton, Bobby Moore or George Best to play in a Europe team in Uwe Seeler's Testimonial match at the Volkspark.
We had the utmost respect for this great english goalkeeper (and we normally don't do that with english goalkeepers).
That's one of few that deserve the term 'legend' gone.
I was tiny when I supposedly saw him play but can't remember it (circa 1972). His save from Pele in 1970 has never been bettered IMHO.
