So the first of our two games in Devon this week takes place at the real St James's Park. I can't remember us ever beating Exeter actually - we lost at home to them earlier this season, and at Wembley 7 years ago and I'm pretty sure we didn't record a win in either league game that season either. So obviously it'd be nice to change that.
We're coming off the back of a draw and three defeats and haven't won since beating Newport what seems like months ago. McGeehan has gone which is definitely a good thing as he's clearly not one of us, and we're still a player or two down in midfield (Dunk and Hughes). On the plus side, Geraoid Morrissey's debut against Wycombe was promising and our new striker, Slew, got some useful minutes in his quest to gain sharpness so we should continue to improve.
I was impressed with Exeter when we played them at home (though we were also dire) and I know they are still chasing a play off spot. So I'm expecting us to be in for it tonight. I'd be happy with a draw, just to continue to keep us clear of the dreaded drop.

Draw for me( that's me being optimistic) with 0-0 being the score line, just can't see us scoring at the minute.

Interesting to see what dickie does with the formation now mcgeehan has gone back, not sure we've got anyone who will be as effective as him in that position, something tells he'll change it.

Nah the surprise element of us not hoofing it up to Elliott will confuse them. We'll hoof it up to Slew instead.

2 points dropped from us tonight by the sounds of things. Coulson could have gone first half but we bossed it otherwise up to about an hour or so and could have been out of sight. Failed to get the 3rd them bottled it again.
Seriously think we could go down if we don't get to 40 points at the end of February.

Same old same old.

Sounds like Dunn has had a bit of a mare again.

We probably only need 5 wins from 17 games, I fancy us to do it, we tend to struggle during the winter and then come good around March. We played excellently for an hour last night, there's enough in this squad to get us over the line fairly comfortably barring any major injury crisis, but I think looking ahead to next year if we're serious about pushing for the playoffs then there's going to need to be a fairly decent overhaul, particularly of the defence, the problem is I'm not sure who the fall guy(s) are, Coulson is probably safe and Taylor just got a new contract so will probably still be starting LB, but I think you could then make good cases for or against the other 4 (Dunn, Tait, Nelson, Miller), but someone's going to have to bite the bullet.
