The brotherhood of bitterness continues!

Yeovil - League since 2003, 9 seasons in League One, 1 in the championship.
Awesome, well done!

Wrexham - Since 2003, 2 seasons in League One. 10 consecutive National League seasons.
“Once upon a time we used to be decent and that’s all we have to shout about now. We’re in a brotherhood of has beens, with a deluded sense of superiority over some who have outperformed us for nearly two decades.”

Then there is FC Halifax who’s delusion knows no bounds! They’re quite amusing though because everyone but themselves know they are proper shite!

Spoken like a classic tinpotter. 125 years of tinpottery in fact.

Just as I was warming to the idea a bit we appear to have sorted ourselves out.

Yep!
We’re a small club, growing slowly and trying to be the best we can be. Long may it continue.

Yeah, so long as you don’t go getting ideas above your station. i.e. trying to get promotion from here.

Hi everyone, Yeovil fan checking out what it's like here before next season. We're definitely down so i'm just getting myself prepared.
Couldn't believe it when I saw you'd lost 6 in a row. Also couldn't believe how bad your board are when they gave Darren Way a new contract. Don't get me wrong, he's got a hard job - But after nearly 4 years he's not exactly worked miracles and pulled lots of trees up.............

I've seen all but 2 of our games league and cup we've played since our first meeting back in August 2003, I've been to Huish Park 12 times - My most visited ground outside of London. Ah I miss Yeovil Junction train station in a funny way, middles of nowhere with not even a sidewalk people can walk to down on going down the country lanes!

I honestly can't see you bouncing back from here unless John Fry sells up (If you do get relegated) - Its sad how its worked out for him considering how far he did manage to take you.

Nothing against Yeovil but I hope we do get to play you next season. It's a nice localish derby without all the bollocks surrounding games against Exeter or Plymouth.

Got to get promoted ourselves first of course, but bloody Woking just won't quit!

It would be wonderful to see our greatest ever manager back at Huish Park

Kind words, thank you. As it happens there's a takeover in the process of going through and it transpires the new American owner has been meeting with club representatives in Yeovil tonight. I'm afraid even the Yanks won't move Yeovil Junction nearer the town though ;)

I would be nice to have a trip to Torquay again next season, but it looks quite a longshot at the moment, but if we can replicate the form of Saturday we might be in with a shout.

Hey Railway Blue, you do realise it was Chester themselves that set your biggest obstacle in motion, back in 2010/11. Before you landed in the Unibond North, Chorley were quietly dying in front of 100-150 fans every week. It seemed to be their sudden and intense, if unwelcome from your point of view, rivalry with Chester that kick-started their revival. Now look at them- they'll be a great addition to the Premier next season, and I'm sure you'll agree with me that they'll have earned their success in the right way- no Mr MoneyBags shortcuts, just good, old fashioned fan backed progress. :cool1:

I thought they had a guy from Preston bank-rolling them?

I'd be SO disappointed if that were true, but it's the first I've heard about it. Google shows a guy from Preston owned them from 1994 to 2017 when the shares were "transferred" to 2 new owners. The council took ownership of the stadium in 2017 and last month the Supporters Trust bought shares using money in the "Fan Ownership Fund", so I can't see much in the way of any meaningful private financial backing there.

Was Trevor Hemmings, Preston's owner and who owned pretty much all of Blackpool (the town itself) at one point. I could be put right by someone more in the know than me but fair to assume that whilst not splashing it he probably propped Chorley up a fair bit whilst he was there.

The situation at Port Vale with their owner is starting to resemble what happened to Leyton Orient two years ago, with Norman Smurthwaite saying that he won't put another penny in the club after the defeat at Tranmere and the fan protests.

Has he started picking the team, locking the squad in hotels after a defeat and signing his drinking buddies on £7,000 a week contracts yet?

He did the signings on deadline day and has rumoured to have stopped Leon Legge playing to avoid a contract extension trigger so edging there!

100 years of EFL football set to end so a new experience! What's Boreham Wood like in January?

They've clearly had a bit of money spent on the ground. It looks quite neat now with that mini-stand opposite the main stand and I didn't have to wade through 4" of piss when I went to bogs.

So, we appear to be on the verge of administration and that really would seal our place down here.

Pull up a seat, members of the national league, cos the biggest shit show in football is about to roll into town.

At least if you do, it won't be because you have a shit ground, as one Notts County fan told me we deserved to be. That was a sweet win.

I went a little quiet after we seemed to begin putting up a fight. Nah we are coming here next season.
Hopefully Chesterfield stay up so we at least have a decent Derby fixture

That is correct, Hemmings saved the club years ago and did bank roll for a couple of years before deciding the club had to stand on its own feet. Not saying he did not help out with ground repairs etc but he has not bank rolled the playing side since Flitcroft came in as Manager and did transfer over ownership as detailed above a couple of years ago.

Well just a couple of games to go too see who out of Macclesfield, Notts and Yeovil want to go down the most.
All three sides are replicating each others shittyness so it could go to the last game.

Although point for Macc and defeat for Notts effectively relegates us due to our awful goal difference.
