Mullins is sending Un De Sceaux to the Tingle Creek instead. His stable does seem to have started rather slowly, Douvan, Faugheen, Annie Power, Vroom Vroom Mag and Djakadam all yet to reappear. Most have had entries but then he's withdrawn them saying they haven't looked right in training. Perhaps the death of Vautour has knocked the stuffing out of the stable a bit.
Plus he lost Gigginstown after hiking his training fees up. It's not been a great start to the season at all for Willie

A lot of the experts reckon the training fee hike was just an excuse by Gigginstown and the main reason for the split was that Mullins seemed to favour the Rich Ricci horses over their's.
Faugheen withdrawn from a possible run again on Sunday, but Vroom Vroom Mag goes in his place along with Shaneshill.

Typical. The dog I put up earlier in the week, Inishowen Legend, pissed up tonight at Swindon by 41/2 lengths.

Terrific finish between Vroum Vroum Mag and Apple's Jade at Fairyhouse this afternoon, the latter just nicking it by a nose.

She lost by a nose last week at Newcastle, wins by a nose this week, seems to love the close finish.

Good pal has told me to have a dabble on Theatre Princess in the 3.50 at Cork. Took 12-1 early and backed into 8-1 in quite a few places, though 10-1 still available here and there.

Willie Mullins back in form today. 6 winners from the 2 irish meetings, 4 owned by Rich Ricci including Djakadam and Douvan.

Just heard this morning. Winner of the Derby on the great Shergar. The choirboy is singing from above now.
I was too young for Shergar, but I remember the Shahrastani / Dancing Brave Derby, my first one.

Remember that race so well mate. I was on the Brave and I still recall the tingle up my neck watching that finish. Starkey misjudged that one.

Shit news about Swinburn. He was my grandad's favourite jockey back in the day and my gramps had a wonderful painting of him riding Shergar to victory in the '81 Derby.

Yes, he lost the ride after that, didn't he? To Pat Eddery, another jockey who met a sad end

Aye, Eddery it was & if I remember correctly subsequently won the King George & Q E Diamond stakes @ Ascot & the Arc. Yeah, Pat Eddery was earlier this year I believe.

Had a winner at Kempton this evening on the all-weather so chucked a fiver on Rocklander in the 13:00 at Exeter tomorrow.

Uniwhatimeanharry an easy winner after Ballyoptic fell at the last, 8/8 for him now.

Got him in a treble this afternoon which will crash and burn at 3pm no doubt.

Anybody watch C4 racing this afternoon? The fog was so bad for the last race at Haydock nobody knew who had won. An announcement was put out over the tannoy that the stewards were going to look at a video before the result could be announced.

Yeah it was crazy, didn't watch it live but saw a clip soon after. Couldn't see a thing, no surprise the caller didn't have a clue. Believe Clyne won it in the end but it was farcical, should not really have been run.

My bet went sideways at the scheduled 3pm, Minella Daddy out front and then heading over the last hampered by a loose horse otherwise probably would have cantered away and won.

Cue Card has been my buddy for years so routing for him. Not having a bet though. Thistlecrack is something very special though so going to have to be at his very best, any slight mistake and thistlecrack will take advantage.
