They are going to win the CL so I see no reason to answer the question as it is. However does winning the CL make them more or less likely to keep hold of the pair?

Firmino has just signed a new 5 year contract so Barca or Real would need to pay silly money, which i dont think they would. Barca need to buy all over the place and he doesnt have the necessary status for Real.

I think they will benefit from the WC and Salah being too focused on that having an impact on any potential moves. Realistically he won't leave unless its to Madrid or PSG. How likely are either of those to be after him this summer? Paris potentially if Neymar goes.

Won't make a difference, we wouldn't sell him this summer anyway and with 4 years left in his deal we hold the cards. We showed with Coutinho we will only sell when we're ready to do so.

I've said it before, nobody will pay what we'll ask for Salah after one world class season. It's too risky, he knows it, everyone knows it.

Should he put up another 40 goals next season we're pretty much fucked though.

Didn't you sell Coutinho three months after Barca's first bid when it became clear that the situation with the player was untenable?

Works both ways dunnit. Liverpool hold some cards, but the player is his own man and he doesn't have any obligation to the club. Salah strikes up a similar fuss in the Summer and he'll be gone within a similar timeframe. For a big fee, perhaps, but still not completely on Liverpool's terms.

Coutinho was sold because we deemed the offer too good to turn down, combined with Klopp and the club deciding the impact on the season wouldn't be catastrophic, which has turned out to be correct. I don't believe we were forced to sell him, we sold on our terms, partly helped by the length of the contract he had remaining due to his recent extension.

I can't see Salah being any different.

I think you are clutching at more straws than a masturbating scarecrow by suggesting you sold him completely on your terms.

Talking about men made of straw, nice use of the word "completely".

I am confused. I use grammarly because of being dyslexic. Is that not a word?

Oh right, never said you did. You certainly implied (or at least it reads) like you felt Liverpool were in control of that transfer at all times. Which isn't quite the case, have they missed him? Not necessarily, although I'd argue he is a significantly better player than Mane.

Would not surprise me if Liverpool won the European cup. Sadly for Liverpool, they are now a stepping stone to the elite clubs. Salah will move on to bigger things, but I can see klopp being at Liverpool for a bit longer.

Every club in England is a stepping stone to the big continental clubs, just some more than others.

And I'll have a bet with anyone that Salah won't move before summer 2019, and possibly not even then if we decide we don't want to sell.

I think Salah being Epytian and therefore studying English and now living in England makes him more likely to stay, over say Brazilian players who seem more at home in Spain despite the Portuguese/Spanish thing. I hope he stays as he is a phenomenal player.

I couldn’t see Man Utd selling their (then) best player in the middle of a champions league campaign and a quest for a top 4 finish. No club ever sells their best player on their own terms true, but some clubs have the clout to hang on to them within a timeframe of their own choosing. That historically hasn’t been the case for Liverpool for a good thirty years, and I don’t see that changing soon.

The upside is, though, yes you will get an enourmous fee for Salah. But you can’t figure him into long term plans like say a Real Madrid, a Bayern, even the two Manchester clubs could.

I think Man Utd could snap him up, its a big step up for him from Liverpool but to play for England's greatest club is too good to turn down.

Hopefully those still clutching the reins of the bandwagon will jump first and I suspect directly into a shirt that fits more comfortably.

Not a UFC fan ,but evidently ,its Jeremy Stephens, possibly the name directly in front of him provides more than a pointer to that being the case ? Clearly ,observation and basic perception not inclusive in the list of Irish Macs more discernible fortes ?
