Bit gutting to concede that late and it feels like a loss really. Normally when we get in those positions we're very good at seeing the game out. Cracking game though. Personally thought we edged the game and perhaps deserved the full three points, but full credit to Mansfield for battling until the death considering their run of games.

Both teams pretty much cancelled each other out and when the opportunities arrived neither team quite had the necessary quality to make something happen. First half was very even, but second half we really dominant. Mansfield seemed to run out of ideas and created very little until the goal, though defended very well. Despite having a lot of the ball and getting the ball into good positions we lacked quality with the final ball/finish (I'm looking at Anderson and Akinde).

One of the things I was looking at going into the game today was how Walker compared to Akinde and to be honest I thought both looked very average (I am a big fan of Akinde normally).

Clearly both teams will be the promotion push, but currently feels like we're missing something. Unfortunately for us MK are in incredible form and I have a bad feeling we may struggle to keep up.

Nope- back to top of the league with a mid week away game which could see us 3 points clear.

First half had 0-0 draw written all over it though still entertaining.

Second half was better and, as gutting as it was, 1-1 was probably a fair result on the whole game (though 1-0 with only 2 minutes of injury time left should have seen a win)

Good atmosphere, good "rivalry" and, with results again going our way, back to the top of the league.

You not counting last seasons Checkatrade game then?

I didn’t count our win against you either this year. It’s not a competitive game and it’s not a competitive cup, that bookings accumulated in that abortion of a cup are “exclusive” (lol) to the competition explains it all

I don't agree, for all its faults it's still a competitive game for me.

Can someone translate this or at least clean it up?

Until this season , a season ticket holder for just over 30 years, think that qualifies lol. Tbh not sure you are in a position to be offering advice from sunny Spain. I bet you miss watching live football, I certainly do this season  even with the shower of shite on display currently.

Anyway you should be celebrating a great point at Sincil Bank shouldn’t rather obsessing over Notts and me
Sorry your on the stags thread

Cool, that under 21 sides are in it, which aren’t actual sides enhances the argument further.

But no, the last time we lost to Lincoln in a competitive/class A game was in 2008, we’ve gone something like 12 games in a row against East Midlands sides without a loss now

The Cowleys were good entertainment today, a circus act and the complete opposite to Flitcroft who is motionless most of the time.

Has anybody checked if David is okay?

That's mainly because Flitcroft had exhausted his theatrics and histrionics in pre match interviews.

DF is a calm individual (bit to calm on the touch line) but what a pair of mardy nonces on the touchline.

They will go around and shake everybody’s hand afterwards though so it’s better than Evans.

Considering we have played 8 weeks of continuous Sat/Tues and 4 games since Lincoln last it really was a good point today.

I forgot to mention the illness that RAVAGED throughout the squad, never mind the non-stop game schedule, White picking up a injury and playing against a bunch of dirty bastards.

I’m pleased the ref stood firm today as well, fair and accurate.

A ref will never see everything but got most things right- yellow cards showed a 3-1 win for Mansfield which, as a ratio, is probably where we compare all season on yellows.

Really, really enjoyed that today. A proper game of football between two good sides who'll definitely be up there at the end of the season. Pretty interesting how definitively both sets of substitutions had an effect on the game. Ours just before the first goal, Mansfield's just after.

Also nice to see Rhead and Green get applause from the Stags fans as they came on. Once you've had Rhead play for you, you get it I reckon.

The Cowleys were good entertainment today, a circus act and the complete opposite to Flitcroft who is motionless most of the time.

Has anybody checked if David is okay?

After the equalizer he jumped onto another coach's back, screamed in Cowley's face, turned round to scream at the fans behind him and then had to be restrained and calmed down by one of his own players. Seemed a bit overstimulated to me.

Whats happened to impish and main road 96? (Or whatever it was)

Whereas they didn’t have a brain cell between them it’s odd they’ve both disappeared

Glad they’ve been banned.

No place in the game for that behaviour. It’s not reflective of 99.9% of fans so good news.
Did anything ever happen with the dick that threw the bottle from the top tier last season? I know we found the bloke that threw it back!

Maine Road is busy looking at 3D printers and bronze prices for the Cowley statue, but he has been around a bit recently.
