The Macc keeper was outstanding in both games against us.
We've had 3 different keepers in league games plus another played a few cup ties.
What about the Mansfield keeper let in the least?

O'hara has been fantastic, my choice for our player of the year and has kept us in many games/kept the scoreline down. Will be in a higher league next year I expect.

I've not seen a better keeper stand out against us, but then we rarely test them!

Joe Murphy is a tranmere youth product so happy with him getting in

Nicky Maynard has the best goals per game ratio in the league, but Norwood has 6 more goals than him, so it’s a tough toss up.
Norwood's contribution to the team extends far beyond his goalscoring, great workrate, chasing down tracking back.

I'll look out for Maynard on Saturday.

Genuinely didn't realise it was the same Joe Murphy! I hope we give him a good reception, he was part of our League Cup Final team.
I always felt John Achterberg was unlucky not to get the nod for the League Cup final. Murphy has had a good career though.

Maynard is 4 years older than Norwood, i doubt very much he does anywhere near the same amount of closing down etc.

Bobby Ojenik broke his leg in training, since that we have been between Smith from Forest and Logan, him alongside White getting injured are the main reason we didn’t push Lincoln for the title IMO.

Those 2 injuries have killed us. Olejnik kept 9 clean sheets in the 17 league games he played. I said in the Summer also that not having decent cover for White would end up biting us in the backside but that's probably down to being stuck with 4 players on £1500+ that we couldn't shift thanks to fat judas c***.

Colchester player broke White's leg so they owe us this weekend against MK

White was one of our best attacking threats at RWB while also being our best cover for the back three. Such a shame, one excuse Mansfield is have is injuries.

Nicky Law is the only player we have that I’d argue should be in there. 10 goals and plenty of assists from midfield but the three selected are worthy.

Also, had Stockley stayed all season he’d have been ahead of Akinde for sure.

Fair play to Big Sol getting the nod as manager of the year as well.

What’s Boateng contract situation, and how’s he done this season?

He’s got another year left.

Started well but got injured in October and only came back last month. He’s probably going to attract some interest but he is incredibly inconsistent. One week he scores a wonder goal against Vale, the next he misses an open goal from 4 yards against Crawley.

Would be a very good signing for a L1 team as he’s still pretty young and has so much ability.

Christy Pym has been the best goalkeeper I've seen in the past couple of seasons at this level.

Always smile to myself ( weird I know ) when I see Neil Eardley mentioned .

Now had 2 outstanding seasons at Lincoln.
On trial at Vale with a view to permanent deal, that much respected Quest, Sky and Radio 5 pundit Michael Brown deemed him not good enough for us and he went to Lincoln.

Well done Michael, just the sort of reason I piss my pants when you are offering your expertise

Yep and we signed Lawrie Wilson instead... lasted a few months before being packed off to Ebbsfleet!

And ironically enough we were interested in Wilson, just about got it tied up and he signed for you at last minute, hence us offering Eardley a trial for our final pre-season game (which lasted 45 minutes before he was offered something!).

This team seems a lot closer to what I’d have viewed as the best 11 rather than the one the managers voted for.

I'm glad Walker got in too - he's spoken about a lot less than the other 'top' strikers in the division despite being around the top scorers in the division for the entire season.

No Crawley players. I'm shocked.

By that I mean I watch them all the time and they are shocking!

As to the list. It's hard to call as I be seen most of those players once this season but I would say Szmodics at Colchester should have got in.

Yeah, he’s very good but I have seen a number of really good ‘keepers in L2. Still having nightmares at James McKeown’s performance for Grimsby against us. He was immense that day.

Can't remember many opposition players but I do remember Cheltenham's left back Chris Hussey taking some brilliant set pieces against us. 7 assists and 1 goal according to Google, presumably from LB.

Hardly missed a game for us since arriving.
Excellent player, you can tell he's played higher up.

Here's the Quest EFL L2 Team of the Year...

D5o3XqKWkAE_KQx.jpg

Finally some recognition for Lewington at LB. Should have been in the PFA and EFL team of the year. Played every game this season at nearly 35 years old, 12 assists and a goal, think only Andy Robertson @ Liverpool has better stats for a left back in the top four tiers.

Keep seeing Bostwick offered up as a central midfielder from various sources. The fella has barely played a game in there this season. There are either some pretty poor midfielders in the division or Bossie is a superstar.

Definitely the latter. OH, MICHAEL BOSTWICK...But yeah, it does seem weird that he's kept being put in there. Away at Yeovil is the only one I can remember this season.

As an aside, Bostwick picked up our Player of the Season and Away Player of the Season awards this afternoon.
