Poor support from Donny. They will struggle to sell their initial allocation at Oakwell.

As is often the case, just missing the numbers from Burton and Scunthorpe.

Sigh.

Low in numbers and relatively quiet, compared to most other teams we've faced at home, but Donny managed to bring the highest number of idiot schoolboy hoolies that I've seen for a while.

Disgraceful scenes outside the ground after the match, with wannabee hard boys attacking anyone in their way. Absolute scum...bit like their players rolling around in pretend agony throughout the second half. Reminded me of how bad they were under Darren Ferguson.

Doesn’t take much to upset a Dale fan though does it.

Correct. I get upset every time I see you on the L1 forum. So does this mean that you approve of OAP's being hit from behind? Or 10 year old kids being threatened?

Our next 3 away games have sold out:

Shrewsbury - 1,661
Doncaster - 3,931
Plymouth - 1,211

I won't be going to Shrewsbury but will be at the other 2. Have a mad dash after work for Doncaster on the Tuesday for what will be a massive game for both clubs aims to try and get out of this division.

And Plymouth is Plymouth, it's pretty far away which I think is the appeal.

Why is it that whenever there is trouble it’s always disabled people, OAPs or children that are hurt/targeted?

I have seen loads of trouble over the years and none of those demographics have ever been hurt or even nearby in most cases.

Because if you're going to make something up, do it properly for full effect.

Does make you laugh though, pretty sure young adults/teenagers viciously attacking that demographic would make the nationals, is it even in the local press?

I once saw a wheelchair bound pregnant lady with one leg get smashed in the face with a pie by a Bury fan.

Horrific.

Sounds like something a York fan would say. She probably deserved it.

Horrific.

That happens on a normal afternoon in Bury. There's no discrimination here.

That Plymouth figure is awesome again, rock bottom of the league and a near 400 mile round trip, terrific support.

Whilst not knocking the support, which is always one of the best in whichever division they are in, you seem to have fallen for the oft written catch that suggests that all away supporters travel from the town that they are supporting. In Plymouth's case, it is well known that they have a large exile base in the south-east, hence the large number of away fans at games in that area. For myself, following my team all over the country despite living one hundred miles from the ground, I meet people from all over the country, from Cornwall and the south coast to the north east, via Liverpool, Carlisle, and numerous other towns in between. I'd suggest that most other clubs have the same type of exile following.
I doubt that the nearly 600 Hartlepool fans at Leyton Orient on Sat had all travelled from Hartlepool just for the game.

No offence meant by the way.

The days when the away support (or home for that matter) was made up of almost entirely locals has long gone. When I first started going to games I'd say 90% were local fans now that figure is greatly reduced. Doesn't stop clubs from trying to gain support in the local community though. Luton do a fantastic job in the town the benefits of which I hope we see when (or if) Power Court materializes. Always been impressed with Plymouths support though even if there are a lot of exiles. The fact they are struggling makes it more impressive.
