We've announced our list of players we won't be trying to renew or are releasing from contract (obviously we pay off):

Agon Mehmeti
Dwight Tiendalli
Mike Williamson
Ivo Pekalski (a great value for money signing for £100k who never played after getting injured in his 1st training session and we will be paying off the remainder of his contract! :ffs:)
Wes Thomas
Aaron Martin
James Roberts
Josh Ashby

Unsurprisingly, we won't be taking up the option to buy Gino van Kessel for £900k (or whatever it was). The Slavia Prague fans won't be happy. :gr:

On the positive side with the retained/offered new deals list:

Curtis Nelson and Rob Hall have both had 1 year contract options exercised by the club. I won't be surprised if we offer them new contracts anyway.

Ricardinho has been offered a new 1 year deal which he already has plans to back for June 7th would suggest he will sign.
Sam Long has been offered a 1 year deal. This one I'm surprised about considering his injury problems over a fair few seasons. Hopefully, he has a clear season injury wise as he does have potential.
Joe Rothwell has been offered a new deal and I assume as the length of time hasn't been mentioned that it will be a multi year deal. Whether he will sign it is another matter but there is far more chance than when we had Pep in charge when there would have been no chance of him signing.

I expect Ryan Ledson to be offered a new deal but whether he will still be with us next season I haven't a clue. Having Cameron Brannagan already will mitigate Lego going should he do so.

I won't be surprised if Jon Obika is made available for transfer. whilst Kane Hemmings and Charlie Raglan will have pre-season to impress Karl Robinson. Also, comments from the player and the club that we may try to sign Todd Kane permanently and he is interested from the same comments.

Can't argue too much with any of the decisions, I hope we try and move a few contracted players on as well.

Kane is the only loanee I would consider wanting back. Solid enough but not spectacular, seems to have an excellent attitude for it though.

Think we will struggle to keep Ledson or Rothwell this summer.

Wouldn't be bothered if they all fucked off, spineless pricks.

I'd probably take Wes Thomas back, looked a threat for us, can't remember if he ever scored though?

Teams officially releasing players and our chairman hasn't even bothered to contact the manager to tell him his plans for next season and whether we are even offering him a contract yet, so that's a good sign. Looking forward to being on the ball and getting in early with our signings again this summer.

Wes Thomas is fine if you have somebody else good to play the 20 odd games he will injured for or unable to play the full game so will be sub or play up to an hour.

So far better than all our strikers, bar Wyke then.

Yep agreed, not one member of our squad who I'd be dissapointed to see the back off, apart from youngster Tyrell Robinson the only plus from this season.

Thomas won't cut it as the main option for someone trying to get out of this league.

Bradford fans may take comfort in us only announcing our release list because we are shit and the new manager wants to get an easy win by distancing himself from the whole thing.

In all seriousness, maybe he is an okay option for a Wycombe/ Accrington/ Wimbledon. But again, he will play 15 games, so you need the budget to have another option. But Bradford aren't at that level.

He wouldn't be first choice, but when your second and third choices are Dom Poleon and Omari Patrick who seriously wouldn't get in most conference teams then he would be a big upgrade. But our whole forward line needs upgrading.

Not announced ours yet but I think only Adam Hammill and Andy Yiadom out of contract.

Hammill is apparently in talks with Perth Glory and Yiadom will get interest from the Championship for certain.

I’m hoping Yiadom comes our way. Not massively in need of a new RB but could use depth and he’s a decent player

Guessing ours won't be too far away.

Guessing that these will be outgoing:
Alan McCormack (would love to keep him, but cannot get enough games out of him)
Johnny Mullins (on the verge of joining Cheltenham anyway)
Scott Cuthbert
Jordan Cook
Andrew Shinnie (end of loan, but Jones wants to re-sign him)
Flynn Downes (end of loan)
Jack Senior (development)
Lawson D'Ath
Aaron Jarvis (development)
Arthur Read (development)
Frankie Musonda (development)
Harry Isted (development)

New contracts (hopefully):
Dan Potts (club extension option activated)
Olly Lee
Glen Rea
Alan Sheehan
Kavan Cotter (development)

Under contract:
Marek Stech
James Justin (likely to join a Championship+ club for at least £1m)
Jack Stacey
Danny Hylton
Harry Cornick
Jake Jervis
Pelly Ruddock
Luke Berry
James Collins
Luke Gambin
Lloyd Jones
James Shea
Elliot Lee
Akin Famewo (development)

We don't need to do that much maneuvering this summer.

Released:
Anthony Wordsworth
Josh Wright
Jermaine McGlashan
Freddie Ladapo
A few under 23’s

Out of contract but talks ongoing:
Simon Cox
Mark Oxley
Michael Turner
Marc-Antoine Fortune
Michael Timlin

Returned to Parent Club:
Sam Mantom
Shayon Harrison

Available for Transfer:
Anton Ferdinand

Under Contract:
Ben Coker
John White
Michael Kightly
Stephen McLaughlin
Theo Robinson
Jason Demetriou
Stephen Hendrie
Dru Yearwood

Anthony Wordsworth should easily be able to find another league 1 club. Imagine Josh Wright will too. League 2 beckons for McGlashan and Ladapo.

We must keep Simon Cox, Mark Oxley and Turner not fussed about Timlin or Fortune

How did he do for you?

Best keeper we've had by some distance. Not faultless, can flap at crosses and vulnerable to a low shot, but commands his area, very confident and good reflexes. Got a mean kick too - scored a few goals this season from a direct hoof over the top to someone running on.

I saw something last week that we might be in for him?

When he's good, he's really good, when he's bad, my god you wonder how he's a professional footballer.
He's one of those players that when the whole team are playing well and things are going good he shines and you wonder why he's not playing at a higher level. Good technically, good set pieces, decent passer.

But christ some of his 'performances' when the team went on a bad run or started a game badly, you may as well have just played with 10 men.
Whatever you do don't play him anywhere other than centre midfield either, he'll decide to just move from his position into centre mid and screw whatever the team were trying to achieve. This also goes for other formations than 4-4-2, when Brown tinkered and we played 4-5-1, 4-3-3, 3-5-2 and the like he looked uncomfortable and frankly lost.

Out of contract:

Nicky Law (MF) - I actually rate him. He retains the ball well, although he doesn’t create much. Worth another year.

Timotheé Dieng (DMF) - release. He doesn’t offer much at all, really.

Rouven Satilmaier (GK) - Release.

Tony McMahon (RB) - after January’s shananigans, see ya.

Matt Killgallon (CB) - our POTY. Been fairly solid. Offer a 1 year deal.

Lukas Raeder (GK) another German who hasn’t done enough.

Colin Doyle (GK) - he’s done well, in what has been a poor season. I’m happy for us to offer another year, but not first choice.

Jordan Gibson (LW) - a real livewire with raw talent. He impresses whenever he gets his chance - definitely consider another deal.

Webb-Forster (ST) - let him go.

Joel Growdowski (ST) - he’s faired well in our development side, and looked OK in games I’ve seen him feature in - keep (1 year).

Peters and Laird - I don’t know enough about them to really give a shit.

Under contract:

Ryan McGowan - CB
Adam Chicksen - LB
Nat Knight-Percival - CB
Jacob Hanson - RB

Romain Vincelot - DMF
Jake Reeves - CM
Danny Devine - CM
Tyrell Robinson - LW

Charlie Wyke - CF
Alex Jones - ST
Dominic Poleon - ST
Shay McCarten - ST

I think we’ll see Poleon on his way. Shay McCarten was subject to numerous offers in Jan. Signed in the summer for £200k, and he’s failed to impress. I also believe we’ll consider offers for Charlie Wyke. NKP can leave for me.

Whoever is appointed manager, has a massive job on their hands.

Think you're being kind that Ladapo goes to league 2, think he'll struggle in the national league.
I'd like us to keep all the ones we're in contract talks with. Cox and Oxley are musts, especially if the club are going to back Powell to fight for the playoffs next season. Can't believe Fortune is nearly 37, he's a good presence in the squad and fit as any of them. Him, Turner and Timlin all good squad players.

I can't believe anyone will actually give us money for Ferdinand, hope he doesn't agree to walk away from his contract as I'd keep him on as a squad player if he's willing to warm the bench for the majority of the season.

As much as I agree Ladapo would struggle in the conference. With a few league 1 loans under his belt I’m sure someone in league 2 will take a punt.

Agree absolutely no-one is going to offer us money for Anton, I think what we are saying if someone wants to have him then they can have him for nothing we will just want him off the wage bill without having to pay him off and we’re not going to let a transfer fee get in the way. If we get Turner to stay we might even have Kiernan back next season with John White and Kyprianou as back up there is no reason to keep Anton on no doubt, a decent wage.

Agree with the other post. He can be class and he can look completely uninterested. If he wasn’t injured so much I’d probably side with keeping him. If you like stats he’s scored 19 in 71 starts in his time here. As a CM you can’t really argue with that considering we all want Cox to stay who is a striker and has 26 goals in 97 apps

Only "first teamer" released is Kal Naismith. Shame as he fantastic in league 2, but never forced his way into the side and made a difference. Think he'll end up back in scotland.
Jez Bedford, Nicke Kabamba and Theo Widdrington all released. Kabamba nowhere near a league player. Both him and Lowe came as a partnership having scored over 40 goals. Lowe has taken the challenge and looks all day a league one player. Kabamba not so much. Will do a job for national league south/north I expect. Widderington has something, but again not for a league one squad. Rumours he's going to Brightons Develpment squad. Our Ex young team manager is their head of development. Bedford, nowhere near the first team squad
