I'm hearing Ellis Harrison may be leaving us. Shame if true though a fair majority of our support would be happy to drive him anywhere who'd have him.

Yeah his record up here does leave a hell of a lot to be desired but I think he's matured into a very good goal scorer now.

Price is another thing, not sure how much Barnet are after but I would guess around the £1m mark. We've just offloaded Tony Watt for an undisclosed fee and he would have been one of the higher earners. I don't mind spending that if Robinson really thinks his goals will get us promoted and if they don't, it's only Roland's money anyway, fuck him.

I think it's just interest at the moment so probably won't happen.

Might be a load of rubbish but there's a bit on our Local Advertiser tweets that Charlton have re-kindled their interest in JCH.
Anything at your end?

Marvin Johnson has told management he wants to leave

Not fussed really, especially if we can get a couple of million for him, he's very talented but never really performed like a 2m player for us

Long rumoured signing of Osman Sow from Henen Jianye confirmed filling the vacant number 9 shirt.

Happy with that - a target man and proven goal scorer. Even though that was in Scotland

Nothing our end as of yet, but we're definitely in the market for a striker or two.

He seems to have everything you need to be a good striker, but we can't seem to get it out of him on a regular basis and Warne is preferring Yates over him for a bench place so he definitely could go.

He is one of those players you don't want to get rid of because you think he is bound to come good sooner or later.

The thing is, how long do you wait?

Marvin Johnson and his agent trying to force a move away from a club? Who'd have seen that coming? :pond:

Agreed, I can see Clarke Harris suddenly becoming shit hot just by getting reinvigorated by a fresh start at a new club, to our detriment. He's definitely got something. If not, then maybe a career in football isn't for him. Yes, it's that extreme with him.

We've just had exactly the same thing with Tony Watt who has finally moved on after three years, a man who has played in the Champions League and scored against Barcelona but only showed a few flashes of brilliance when with us and was very mediocre the rest of the time. Frustrating as he should have been playing at a much higher level than this.

I don't confess to knowing much about Clarke-Harris other than remembering him skying a penalty the last time we played each other.

The thing is, Magennis will be the main man here so he would have to settle for a place on the bench at best.

It is a rumour, whether true or not I don't know. OxVox have put out a tweet saying he hasn't made a transfer request.

As long as Hull or Leeds(if their reported interest is real) make sensible bids not low ball ones (Yes, you Hull) then fine. I trust our recruitment team on finding a replacement.

Well based on his full debut, Ricardinho looks a good player and GvK certainly had an impact but I'll wait to see long term. Xemi looked lost in the no.10 role on Tuesday but scored a cracking goal. Pekalski, that was just unlucky whilst Tiendalli I haven't got a clue about.

Where have you heard that Aber? I feel sorry for him because he doesn't deserve all the stick he receives from people, but he's had more than enough chances and isn't anywhere near good enough for this level. I wouldn't be too upset if he did depart, especially as it will mean we'd free up space for another striker - a target man preferably.

We've signed young Rangers trialist Jordan Gibson, still waiting for a centre back or two though.

That, like Bingham, he's a nice lad but totally out of his depth in L1. I'm afraid its another signing that screams "we'll be playing L2 football next season". With both Bingham and Nugent, I'd imagine most Crewe fans would have pegged them down as being Conference bound once we released them in the summer. But somehow you've signed them both and they've moved up a level. Don't get your hopes up on Ben.

Doing the rounds. Even his signed shirt was booed at ash's charity do on Sunday and it was a bloody prize :ffs:

Thanks for that.
I'm not surprised, but I still didn't want to hear it.

Really nice lad and severely mismanaged by Steve Davis but even under Dave Artell he cost us a goal a game and it was the emergence of Perry Ng at CB last season when he was injured that sealed his fate. Very rash in his decision making and I genuinely saw him signing for a Conference side just like a lot of our cast offs. But he'd be a decent backup centre half I suppose if he's been brought in on the cheap.

Can't believe poor players from last year like Bingham, Turton, Nugent and Guthrie are all in League One. Hence why I can see Gillingham, Walsall and Blackpool in trouble this season if that's the calibre of player they're signing. In Blackpool's defence, Cooke who they also signed was the only one of our lot from last year who deserved a move up the leagues. Baffles me that even Callum Saunders managed to somehow stay in League 2!

That's really sad. Pathetic even.

People have got it in their heads that he's lazy but I don't think that's the case. He's just not a very good footballer.

I reckon Ellis has got a lot going on outside of being a striker for us. He's got it all. Touch, strength, finishing. We've seen him destroy teams but sadly I honestly don't think he's too arsed with football ( at least not with us) . I hope he moves on and does well. It's too toxic with us ATM though.

John Terry wipes his arse on our annual budget so I'm not surprised we're signing Crewe and Yeovil cast offs.

We've been linked with James Hanson.

If we sign him at least McArdles aimless hoofballs might actually find someone. I don't really want him though.

That was our old trade mark, Hoof from McArdle to Hanson. I hope you've got some pacey players who can read his sexy flick ons.
