We've re-signed Isaiah Osbourne on a 1 year deal and Uncle Jeff put his hand in his pocket again and we've brought in Josh Gordon from Leicester on a 3 year deal! Isaiah we know from his last spell here is an excellent midfielder and we've been crying out for him since he left. Josh Gordon is an exciting young-ish striker who Leicester hoped would be the next Jamie Vardy but he's now joined us after spending a few years in their U23's and impressing but not impressing enough to get into the first team.

Great business done by Dean Keates this window so far, looked really questionable 2 weeks ago but it's coming together nicely now. All we need is a loan or free transfer centre half before August 31st for cover and we've done well.

We've gone from only having Amadou Bakayoko up top to Andy Cook, Morgan Ferrier and Josh Gordon - a huuuuge upgrade.

Sorry mate he's a gutless footballer who prefers to leave the ball even if he's got a chance of getting it in case he gets hurt.We had him on loan but sent him back after a few games he was that bad.

We've signed Jason McCarthy on a 3 year deal from Barnsley,we had him on a seasons loan from Southampton in 2015/16 and was a superb defender before moving to Walsall,i can't believe it but we actually paid an undisclosed fee for him. We were told Ainsworth wouldn't see any of the Luke O'Nien transfer but we've found money from somewhere and fair play Ainsworth in bringing him back.

Sounds like we've turned down a late series of offers from Ipswich for Deji Oshilaja. I know Gills fans think he's useless but he's been an absolute beast for us at centre half and is captain this year. We'd have been in a bit of trouble at the back if we'd accepted a deal.

No time left for the player to hand in a transfer request to engineer a transfer. That seems to be par for the course with most players Ipswich have bids rejected for.

Oliver Norburn signed from Tranmere for an undisclosed fee. We're now looking strong in centre midfield with Norburn joining today and Greg Docherty joining yesterday to add to those we already have in those positions.

Stefan Payne has left to join Bristol Rovers for a reported £200,000. I liked Payne and it's a shame to see him go but this is good business for the club.

Lee Angol signed from Mansfield right on 6pm as Payne's replacement.

Hopefully we'll utilise the loan window to strengthen further with two loans still to use.

If he gets anywhere near your first team for more than a game then I'll be majorly surprised. Talent in there somewhere but I just don't think he's suited to the English game.. Well he hasn't shown it yet anyway. Good lad though so part of me hopes he proves me very wrong and we can get some more money for him down the line.

Don't think he's useless by any means, he's big, strong, powerful and athletic, but definitely an accident waiting to happen.

There's square pegs in round holes, then there's pegs that fit perfectly. That would be Deji for us. He's rarely been anything less than good for us and frequently he's been excellent.

Hopefully the responsibility of being captain will make him even better, if that was possible.

Isaiah turning up turned us around from complete basket cases to only partial ones and we'd not have stayed up without him. Would have loved him to stay but heard he wanted to get back higher and to be nearer family too; think the other tales of not enough time to decide a new deal are agent talk. He's fit now and raring to go and sure he'll do well for you again.

Anyone with a bit more information on Duane Holmes? Is he better centrally or outwide? The only reason I ask is because I'm not entirely sure where he fits in, much more chance if he's going to play centrally as he could be direct cover for Mount.

I've heard good things, but no idea where he plays & whether the Championship is a big step up for him?
