MK have a habit of emphasising their own tinpottery by letting bumper away crowds outnumber them. I remember back in the League One days, Wolves successfully ran a 9K2MK campaign.

Damned if we do, damned if we don't.

If we only allowed 800 fans in our massive white elephant stadium, we'd be getting criticised for not giving higher allocations. Bigger allocations = more money for us, and away fans love it. You make out like it's every week, when it's more like once every couple of seasons.

Just from recent memory we had 10k Wolves supporters, 7.5k Sheffield United fans, around 8k Coventry fans etc. Ask any Sheffield United fan what their favourite ever away day was in recent memory and I guarantee they'll all say us.

Take that 7.5k Sheffield game for example - if we charge on average £15 a ticket (taking into account kids being cheaper and adults being more expensive), that's £112,000 in ticket sales for a single match, without considering food and drink. Some clubs would be lucky to get that for their entire FA Cup run each year.

I know it well. The Buxton to Ashbourne road has been blocked from early afternoon, so Chelmorton would have largely been cut off.
It’s a different world. My record for being stuck in the village is 5 days, not the best fun!!
Meant to be heading over there later for her mums birthday and she reckons there’s about 8 inches of snow in the village this morning so I’ll be staying put.

Sounds like we might have been given another 100 tickets for County.

We sold out the original 4,000 within a day and half of general sale but not been given any extra like Lincoln have yet.

Seems as though it's 100 more than last season, not 100 more tickets!

Not bad considering everyone assumed the country would be knee deep in snow chaos and was only rearranged less than a fortnight ago.

Got to be the lowest league away following we’ve took for years though... I recall going Lincoln one December Tuesday night and was about 90 of us there in 2009 but can’t recall any lower than that one.

I was one of the 69 at Hartlepool in Feb 2008. Can't remember lower than that (before last night).

Notts police really are wank.

Yet the only ones who have ever caused trouble in this fixture is notts fans, there really isn’t anything there between us.

The OAPs must have revolted that day.

Either way it’s 4000 odd so nobody should have any complaints at this level

We have sold our allocation of 1,020 tickets for Vale on Saturday, and pay on the day is available.

A better following than I expected.

You are spot on I care very very little, alas many do and I am in shock that this incredibly low (some would trot out the word pathetic and get a semi) figure hasn’t been pounced upon by the ‘away following police’???!?!?!?

Other than the Vale fans, there was hardly a mention of it. Truly bizarre.

Investigation needed perhaps?

Have we? I read it as adult tickets sold out, which I imagine is around 700.

Coming from a guy who thinks awful unfunny dad jokes should be regularly shared outside the family? Buddy it’s cringeworthy every single time :ffs:

There is no bigger compliment than your post :bg:

I’m gonna miss your screenshots of Grimby Town matchday twitter updates

We had sold out our initial allocation for Macclesfield around 1000, we've been waiting for more to be sent, they are expected today. Should have at least about 1500 there.

Not a Vale/Crewe thing here, but surely you should be selling that out after the run you are on ?
