Tidy win today. Made hard work of it, could've scored 4 or 5 but didn't put all the chances away first half. Lost count of the blocks and clearances off the line. Grimsby were a bit of a shambles at the back first half, were a bit better second half but worst team I've seen this season. Dembele was disappointing - too easily dispossessed. Overall a good 3 points and on to Crawley and Luton this week.
Yeah we seem to be really good one week then terrible the next, thankfully for you you got us on a terrible one. :(

Funniest moment of the highlights was the Crawley fans falling over the awnings behind the goal when their team went 1 up at Barnet. Lovely stuff.

Fantastic result for us today, really fantastic. We look so strong at home bar the goalkeeping error vs Newport. Feeling pretty positive about the season now.

The Barnet stewards wouldn't have minded, they are pretty laid back........

Since Newports reformation we've played them 5 times at Rodney Parade and scored the grand total goals of zilch.

Quality.

Maybe they can be our new Braintree?

We never seem to score at that shithole neither, so you are not alone Fish.

Only team to have beaten both Notts County and Exeter, 5 goals scored, 0 conceded..., shame we can't beat 10 man Chesterfield though

Before selling the club, he was pouring in £500,000 every MONTH

Yeah, because he had financed a ridiculous budget we couldn't even begun to afford. Which directly led to him having to sell the club (for under a fiver) to the biggest crook the game has seen.

MWC had his heart in the right place, but let's not pretend his legacy is a good one. Our troubles almost all without fail trace to his doorstep one way or another.

If our season carries on as it is, we'll be smack bang mid-table. W3 D3 L3 GF11 GA11.

We've played 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th, Stevenage when they were 2nd a couple of games ago and all the losing PO sides from last season. Tricky start and one we've come out of ok-ish, I think. Nothing spectacular but not a disaster either.

I still think we're in trouble to be honest. We offer nothing going forward and even less at the back. We've had a couple of good results but there's only so many times teams can have bad days against us. I don't see us ever flirting with top half consistently so we have to hope we pick up enough points to keep us from hovering around the relegation zones because the pressure won't do us any good. Not looking forward to Saturday as I think Lincoln will batter us.

Our defensive stats are absolutely ridiculous this season. In 9 games we’ve only conceded 55 shots, or 6.1 per game. Next nearest is Notts County with 76, 8.4 per game, then Luton with 85, 9.4 per game and then Wycombe and Accrington with 90, 10 per game.

I always think at this time of year you can't get yourself involved in the hunt for the top 3, but you can seriously hinder your chances.

At the current rate, we'll finish on 82 - which is usually good enough for automatic, yet there are 4 sides above us. The top 7 have lost 6 in the 35 between them over the last 5 games, with both County (having won all 5!) and us (won 3 and drawn 2) not losing any

Keep an eye on the guy wearing the blue jacket behind the goal Crewe are shooting towards in the first half as his afternoon slowly falls apart.

IMO we're 1 point ahead of schedule and on for 88.

We won't remotely get close to selling out that's why..as things stand. If we appoint Lester and win our next 2 games then we'll be all over it I imagine

We can pay on the gate tonight at Chesterfield. That's because we'll be taking about 50 fans.

We won't even open up the away end for you. Could be the lowest ever crowd at the new ground tonight

Bloody Lester. We're guaranteed to lose if he's present. The sod would probably get a hat trick if he brought his boots along.

Little bit disappointing that we couldn't turn 3 wins into 4. Sounds like we played pretty well but again struggled to stick it in the net. Still don't think we are making the most of Hylton/Collins with the diamond formation but I think it's pretty moot at this point as it's never going to change. Take away the freak 8 goals against Yeovil on opening day and think you'd have a legitimate case to say we are struggling in front of goal which is crazy with Hylton and Collins in the side.

Still a point on a long away trip is decent and maintains an unbeaten run at the least.

Sounds like Cornick had another lively game. Surely has to be pushing for a regular start.

Good win tonight on the road again. Luton this weekend will be our 10th away game of the season, in 8 weeks. Flynn working wonders with our small squad - squad size will ultimately take its toll over the course of the season but enjoying it while it lasts.
Flynn's league record is cracking P22 W12 D4 L6.

Luton were easily the better side; Morecambe had no intention of going for more than a point and sat back the entire game which is quite stark for the home team. That said, Luton didn't seem to have much fluidity. 19 shots but only 3 on target - just like Saturday, loads of play but so wasteful.

Im getting sick of these shitty little clubs like stevenage only bringing 34 fans up here with them and they are doing better than us in the league somehow. Who the fuck would want to play for them dirty tinpot fucking non league time wasters??

Fucking joke of a club who do not deserve to be up here , I wish they'd just fuck off back to where they belong.

34 AWAY FANS FOR A LEAGUE MATCH IS A FUCKING DISGRACE.
