Barnet are a hardworking side that doesn't let any side 'play' - they can play football but they very much setup to frustrate.
It's not really a choice. Eight of our first choice 11 are injured. Losing Campbell ryce, Weston, Coulthirst, Akinde and Tarpey has left us with no goalscorers.

I feel we have done well considering.

How bad is the quality in this Barnet V Coventry game? Horrendous.

We have 8 first team players out and are playing our 4th choice striker up front. Not quite sure what more we can do!

Be a good result for Barnet if it stays this way, that injury list is mental!

Barnet are not doing as well as I expected them to this season but good result for those at the top of the division.

Does any Morecambe fan know why Kevin Ellison was sent off today?

I've just watched the highlights and all it shows is the ref stopping the play, speaking with the lino and sending him off.

I said to a work colleague before the game started that Ellison is a player that always impresses me. Guess who the happy bunny was in my office this afternoon?

The referee realised mid game that Ellison had in fact reached the statutory retirement age of a footballer so unfortunately he had to go.
And to be honest 57 is way too old to be playing League 2 football.

Another odd thing I noticed about the game...

I was at work so couldn't go to the game but I was keeping track through the BBC live text. On live text the goal was described as Clifford scores from close range, a shot from the centre of the goal to the top right centre. Imagine my surprise when I watch the highlights and he scores direct from a corner kick!
Also, every yellow card is described as "for a bad foul" and every red is "for serious foul play". I appreciate you may need to use stock phraseology as a time saver but you need to do better.

The unreliability of the BBC live text and stats for our matches is a running joke on our forum.

Luton are looking to be a fairly outstanding team, that is rare down here innit.

The signs are good at the moment but there's still plenty of time for us to make a mess of it so I for one won't be getting tooooo carried away just yet. Bound to come unstuck at Crawley now with all the positive attention we are getting.

Good test of our mentality. We're there to be shot at as everyone always love to beat the team who is top. We'll be expected to win, the players wont admit it but will too and as mentioned it would be so Luton to get beat.

Not all of us love playing the top team especially if they hammer other teams regularly, Id be shitting myself and give up before a ball is even kicked.

I’m not gonna bother starting a thread for our match.

Morecambe are pretty shite atm and we’re pretty good away from home. In terms of the teams we play, our record reads something like this:

Top half: P7 W1 D1 L5 F6 A14

Bottom half: P7 W5 D2 L0 F13 A7

Home: P7 W2 D3 L2 F7 A8

Away: P7 W4 D0 L3 F12 A14

It’s clear to see that we’re flat track bullies so far so that bodes well for Saturday. Playing away means we’re more likely to score for some reason too. If we can sort our defence, I’d be a bit happier!

Why shit yourself? Anyone can beat anyone down here.

Now we've gone and got 4 points from away games at Notts and Coventry reckon even we could give Luton a game as well. Would definitely be interested to see how we'd cope.

Got to be a good chance our game will be called off tomorrow. The hourly forecast predicts 45mph+ winds in Crawley right through the afternoon. That's getting into potential structural damage territory so it might well be deemed unsafe for the crowd.

Be gutted if it were as you want the games to come thick and fast when you are in form like ours. Health and safety aside though it might be for the best, conditions like that make for a bit of a lottery.

It's a similar forecast for large parts of the country.

Probably means it'll be calm and sunny.

The canvas roof on that "temporary stand" that's used for seated away fans looks perfect for a bit of hang gliding if the wind is in the right direction - which on this occasion I think it is, as it's open to the S/SW.

?

Don't tell me you're one of those fans that think you'll batter every team out of sight Oak. It won't happen. There will always be shock results.

When has a game ever been called off due to wind? Get the guy who used to go to the Antigua Rec Ground to hang off it!
I don’t understand why anyone would want to pay a fiver more for that view.
Anyway, sell out for LTFC fans tomorrow.

Swear it used to happen at Swindon years and years ago when the top tier of one of their stands was deemed unsafe in high winds but not certain on that.
