I think it’ll be about 43-44. I just can’t see 2 of Macc, Notts and Yeovil getting more than that.

I am targeting 45 points for us as safety - with our GD that likely requires Yeovil to win 3 of 8, Notts to win 4 and draw 1 of 8 and Macc to win 4 and draw 1 of 9, as long as 2 of those don't happen we'd be safe.

Apparently yesterday all our debts had been "Satisfied" meaning we could have a buyer or......

The club have also put season tickets on sale and Hardy has reappeared on Twitter too. Something definitely seems afoot.

Bolton fans seem to suggest a real chance they could wind up tomorrow as even administration would see them out the league as they don't think the owner the can prove funding for three months under EFL rules.

Looks bleak for them and a few clubs at the moment.
Sad, banter is banter and hatred is just football hatred. There but for the grace of God goes all lower league clubs, even want that lot to survive.

Agree with this.

Other than yeovil, fuck yeovil. They can liquidate and become non existent tomorrow.

There's no chance of us winning 3 more matches this season, we've only won 4 in the last 20.

I really don't understand your irrational hatred towards us. Our clubs and fans have a good relationship.

It's not irrational mate. And we do have a good relationship and a friendly rivalry between the two fan bases on the whole. Mainly cause of Stanno, I even walked from SJP to Huish Park for the AS9 Foundation and got a big cheer by your fans and our away following once we made it.

Doesn't mean I've forgiven you for your actions when we nearly went bust though.

When we were in dire straights in the Summer of 2003, local teams rallied around (Torquay & Plymouth) to help us. Yeovil suggested that with our debts the Grecians should not have been allowed to continue. Whatever the rights or wrongs about the situation, they would have been better advised keeping quiet. So that's that.

My hatred isn't irrational and it does come from somewhere.

Never say never. We went over 20 games without winning any last year but put a run together at the end of the season and saved ourselves. Trust me, we all thought we were gone.

There is still hope.

We did swap managers though which looks like The fundamental problem you are having.

That’s it. That has to be ‘the game’ that sends us down. How the hell do we come back from that? As I said in the match thread, a draw against 10 men is crap - but we’re still just two points from 3rd bottom if it ends 0-0. One game. A couple of weeks back after we lost at Cheltenham it was 7 points. Just can’t see us recovering mentally now.

Yeovil are lucky we are so terrible, although I would make them and us faves now. Macc at least seem to have some fighting spirit. To goal three home games without a goal at this stage of the season is unforgivable.

Yikes, not a good win for the bottom 7, all of whom failed to win. In fact, only 2 drew and the rest were outscored 0-12. Crawley get battered by the L1 bound Lincoln, nothing too wrong with that. They still probably won't go down, but lose to Morecambe and you wonder where their next win is coming from. How long does Cioffe have do we reckon?

Morecambe get wailed on by Swindon, two 6-pointers next up. Fail to win either and things could get nervy. Cambridge grind out a point at Carlisle, not a bad result. Still got some tough games in the next few weeks, so anything they can get has to be taken as a positive.

The Vale slip back a place after losing their L2 leading 11th home game. Still not out of the woods yet, even if the gap remains a healthy 7 points, 8 accounting for GD. Yeovil keep losing but somehow remain clear of the bottom 2, even if the gap is slowly closing inch by inch. You feel like a shock win is coming soon for them. They surely will beat one of Newport or Crawley at home right?

It's amusing to see the teams above the bottom 2 struggle to win, but have Macc and Notts County fail to take advantage. Macc scrape a point at home to Stevenage, which isn't great at all. That 6 pointer against Morecambe is massive, absolute must win. Those last 2 look tasty though.

As for Notts County, if you can't beat a side down to 10 men for 67 minutes at home, who can you beat? Still, they beat Carlisle out of nowhere not too long ago, so I wouldn't rule out another shock win against Stevenage or beating Northampton. Time is running out fast though, they need to make a move soon.

Still can't call it. A win for either of the bottom 2 throws things wide open. Is it coming though? Or will the current status quo remain until the end of the season?

Got to be honest, I had no idea Cambridge were still rattling around in this thread. I had it in my head they had a good run of form and had been comfortable the last few weeks.

Macc visit our place next week, and as much as a Imps love Macc, kick into a mini run after next weekend, please...

I'm sure you can afford to drop points and still go up :bg:. I doubt you'll have much to worry about though - Sincil Bank has never been a good ground for us results wise.

I expect we will be more frustrated not to have won today after next weekend's games have taken place.

I think we've only won once at SB (in non league)? In a lot of those games we would've been much closer in league standings and form, so really think next Saturday is a write off!

Yeah, you beat us 3-2 at SB under Steve King before he tried his best to bankrupt you. I think the wheels fell off that good run soon after!

Not too costly for us today with other results and played well enough to suggest we will get a few more points.

Notts though... last season we played Chesterfield the week after they’d cruised past promotion chasing Notts and had a man sent off first half...
We won it late on and that pretty much killed Chesterfield (don’t think they won again) you have to feel that’s a killer for Notts today, they’d need 3 wins from 7 to catch us so looking less likely by the week.

Macc late goal is an annoyance but they go Lincoln next so all being well we can get a result next week and secure footballing safety... if Norman then decides to relegate us off the field that’s another thing.

Dont think anyone will finish below you
If we go down, we'll finish bottom. We've only ever finished bottom when being relegated. Though to be fair we've only ever been relegated twice in our history.

I wouldn't put it past us to win the next 2 and still be in the same situation.

So what’s your rational reason for hating Grimsby Swindon and Tranmere?

Me too.

As a complete outsider I think the story of Yeovil's rise and sadly decline has been phenominal. You don't eat babies in Yeovil do you?
