Can all 3 of us go down? We’re all as bad as each other. One slightly less shit one will get another chance next season.

Only 3? I reckon it's more like a good 5/6 sides with 2 very unfortunate sides going down. And luck is exactly what I mean, nothing to do with being slightly more/or less shit than the others.

24th - Notts County(42) - 37 points. MK Dons(H), Crawley(A), Grimsby(H), Swindon(A)

I'll start at the top and work my way down. The Vale and Morecambe will stay up, that's beyond a doubt. They could do it even if they don't get another point this season I reckon. As for Crawley, that was a massive, season changing result at Yeovil. Lose and they are right in the thick of a relegation battle. A win now sees them all but clear. Huge swing. Cambridge too are probably safe, but rolling over and losing 3-0 to Newport at home isn't great. Need a reaction against Swindon and FGR, don't want something riding on those last 2, especially the Macc game.

But realistically, it's 2 from the bottom 3 at this stage barring something incredible. All 3 teams lost, all without scoring. Macc did the business at home in mid-week, so losing at FGR is no disgrace. Their next 2 look tricky though, they'll need to pray the bottom 2 don't find a win from somewhere.

That in itself isn't looking likely. Their hasn't been any new manager bounce at Yeovil and they are starting to enter miracle territory. If they can't beat a previously out of form Crawley at home, who can they beat? Same goes for Notts County. They have showed some life in recent weeks with 2 impressive away wins and a draw at home to Northampton. But to roll over and have your bellies tickled against a nothing to play for Crewe side doesn't bode well.

I can see why both the bottom 2 will be writing themselves off at this stage, but I still think both have a shot. Time fast running out though.

wonder what the odds are on Macc staying up at our place?

Based on our record of rolling over for teams at a seasons end probably! Lincoln going down after our effort at Barnet when Grew blew his nut, the 5-0s in recent years!

I'm targeting one win from the Easter weekend fixtures and another win from our easy-ish last two games. That would get us to 45 points which would hopefully be enough. Alternatively a win and three draws would also get us there.

No way we're staying up now, the body language of the team was that of whipped dogs today, utterly clueless.
One more win for Macc will do it I think and they deserve it. They were sunk at Christmas, players not getting paid but Sol has got them motivated.

This must be the best time you’ve had as a Stags fan Adam? Can’t think you’ve had a better time since you first started watching Mansfailed.

*mansfield

Crewe are a good side, if they can beat us deservedly at field milI suppose an easy win over relegation fodder would be standard

My apologies Mansfield’s best season? The peak you’ve witnessed?#pimple

It should be indeed and was standard which made your earlier good solid win comment a little inaccurate. I’d of said expected win.

Saying that you’ve been saying the Stags struggle against mid and lower placed sides and perform better against the top 7 so :dk:

Mansfield have seemed more intent on gloating at Chesterfield and Notts County then celebrating a couple of their better seasons in recent years the past two seasons! Even Vale and Crewe don’t do that to each other and we had the old famous 600 page thread a few years back!

It’s true, you’ve nailed it. The level of obsession this season has impressively managed to topple that shown by Town fans towards the Imps. Never thought that was possible but it’s undeniable. Although Stags fans on here will bizarrely claim otherwise, and it’s just another game to them.

But I don’t blame them tbh, this is the first time any Stags fan on here (bar their finest Bargain Stag Abroad) will have seen their side play in higher divisions (2!!! :ohm:) above both their local rivals. I can’t be arsed to check but I don’t think that’s happened for a long long time maybe 45 years ago maybe longer.

Add to the fact the team 2nd in the overall betting for the title before a ball was kicked and predicted by most on here to finish top 3 has been incredibly bottom 3 all season. This is the perfect time for them to gloat and take the piss.

We’ve been so spectacularly dump this season that it’s actually taken attention away from what is Mansfield’s highest league position for god knows when. A great chance to hit the dizzy heights of the English 3rd tier and by reports in the first half of the season some of the best Tika-Taka football ever seen at Field MFI.

I understand your viewpoint looking in from another side, and you are undeniably correct but you’ve never been in the shadow of Crewe nor the other way round for as long as Mansfailed have. That’s the reason.

Let it all come out like it has on every single Notts match thread and the relegation thread (even when you are sat 2nd/3rd in the league) all season.

Make hay whilst the sun shines

If Macc stay up it will be a great effort from where they were.

Get the impression they need new ownership/investment though otherwise they'll be in trouble again next season

It’s ridiculous, yesterday was as bad a result as you can achieve yet results elsewhere all but confirmed our safety. As Vanni says, we just happen to be marginally less shite than the bottom three but that’s it m. We’re more than deserving of a Conference spot next season.

Meant the 3 still in it Vanni, I think we deserve to be down there a bit more than the rest.

Not going to lie you are kind of correct. We have had a good season...One of our best in my life no doubt but it is made even better by seeing County struggle (and hopefully go down). Football is all about rivalries and we have had players and managers stolen and been patronised by County fans for years so it is incredibly satisfying to see you being so shit. You had a banner celebrating our relegation to the conference at your last game in 2008 and celebrated our demise with Chesterfield. Its bloody funny that you are both so shite now.

That’s exactly right Lboro you have to enjoy some success and others demise. Especially when you have been in the shadows of both Nottingham clubs for...... ever. Add the fact that your hated rivals have also been superior until last season if I was a Stags fan I’d be enjoying the disastrous seasons for both Notts and Chesterfield. Don’t blame ya.

How many posts has the Notts thread on Stagsnet reached now?

I guess times change in football.

There were those who enjoyed Mansfield’s struggles both at county and chesterfield, and I guess it’s a case of be careful what you wish for.

Now times changed and the boots on the other foot, there’s a bit of enjoyment in seeing what’s going on and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I’m more bothered about Mansfield and if there were a deal where Mansfield went up if it meant county stopped up then I’d bite your hand off.

Do I? :dk: If I’ve been on an other teams forum so far this season it’s once at the very most. I don’t understand why folks do it but each to their owns

Maybe i’ll make an exception and take a look, hope you don’t have to sign up to view. If so I’m out!!

I know someone on here posted a while back and it was comfortably over 1000 posts !!! Impressive when you guys don’t care, and only see Chesterfield as rivals lol#nopenotobesessedonebit

If they’ve lost at Morecambe they can lose at you, you got a draw against Lincoln and deservedly beat us at meadow lane
