Yeah,

Conrad Logan, Paul Digby, Paul Anderson, Zander Diamond, Lee Angol, Jimmy Spencer, Jacob Mellis and Hayden White.

Think that is 17 players in total, plus any youth players. another 5 to come in I imagine.

Decent players, still expect another forward to be the "big" signing

Waters is a good player. Scored 16 goals for a poor Cheltenham side and won their player of the season.

I've heard he does want a move south so you'd fit the bill. I hope he stays but wish him well if he moves on, he's been a great player for us.

He's a good all round forward for this level, big strong, quite quick, links the play well and will bag 10-15 a season.

Sounds like the sort of player that could make something happen from endless punts in his vague direction.

A budget Barry Corr I suppose.

Someone on our forum claims James Collins and Christian Walton (both targets for ourselves) will be signing for Coventry and Birmingham respectively.

Also Tom Pett also being targeted, along with a few other L2 clubs.

He's better with the ball played to feet, he uses his strength well with his back to goal. Not brilliant in the air.

Course it's not.

2 players for each position.

I appreciate your budget might not stretch to that next season, but 22 would be the norm

18/19 is probably right, and if you have a crisis you call on the youth. 22 verified squad members means leaving 4 out of the squad altogethrt each week despite paying them a grand plus a week. GL with that

21/22 is perfect IMO.

We had about 40 with Paul Cox!

You don't need to spunk that much money on players that won't even make the squad! Emergency loans and the kids will plug any sudden issues. Still, if you can afford to pay guys for doing nowt, more power to you tbh. Genuinely.

We used 41 players last season... mind you that didn't work out well...

How reputable is the source on Collins to us? Feel like he would be a good signing at this level, plus he's a local Cov lad and supports us. May have to win over fans however as he got a bit of stick a few years back for celebrating against us in a provocative manner.

Not reputable at all, new poster calling himself "The Scout" and pretending to be ITK and yet didn't know the difference between Ryan Donaldson (formerly of Cambridge) and Harrison Dunk (currently of Cambridge).

People posting rumours on Outlaws are almost exclusively bullshitters (with two notable exceptions), but Kenny will post them all in here anyway.

Which isn't to say Collins won't sign for you of course, he may well do, but I wouldn't bank on it based on this particular rumour source.

Surely there is no magic number when it comes to the size of the squad. 17 men could be ravaged by injuries or 22 men could lack match fitness when needed. There are too many factors at play here.

You'll need more now you can't just loan players outside of the window.

Too random not to be reputable though.

22-23 is bang on with a couple of first year pros/development players on the side.

I can't believe almost in every Conference season we had around the 30 player mark. Why do managers just sign players for the sake of it?

If you can afford it you buy up all those that you can to stop others from doing so...but a team of "names " don't make a wining team ..proven at Real Madrid down to the conference.....

Stags fans, what's Ben Whiteman like? Looks like we are taking him on loan next season.

Whiteman has much potential but he's still at that age where he doesn't always impose himself on games. I thought he was good but not yet excellent, so you'll probably get a midfielder that looks comfortable but does not excel in League One.

Yeah, but you wouldn't want 17 like the spirite said, I'd be very concerned especially with the loan window not being what it was.

FGR and Cheltenham BATTLING to sign Sean Newton from York.

He's under contract anyway, I think.
