Newport have been told by The EFL they cannot play Paul Hayes until January,i did wonder about the signing as he's played for us this season and was released after the transfer deadline.

Well he got a 3 year deal so there's no real rush for him.

They and him, rightly, thought a jump up from NL to Championship was a big one and that he'd be better served stepping up a league with us where he's already settled and knows the squad and management. They also signed a guy from Borrusia Dortmund as someone to go straight in at CB as well so I think they're quite well covered.

It was sorted late in August, so he had spent all of pre-season and the beginning of the season with us anyway.

So he's going to Norwich at the start of Jan, playing for them most of that month, then possibly returning to you before the beginning of Feb?

It could pan out like that, yes. Or he might have a stinker in the FA Cup and be back with us in mid-January, so only miss one of our games.

Signed ex Arsenal, Southampton and Colchester youngster Chris Regis apparently and will be revealed and debut tonight in the paint pot. Odd one!

Wether this guy is any good or not it's a joke how many players we sign and how big our squad is.

If he’s an attacking midfielder it would be a good move to have a look at him I guess?

Rumours and only rumours at this stage that Chris Eagles is back training with the club, get him fit and how he was with us towards the end of last season once up to speed and he would be a massive player for us... hope its true!

Debut goal, any relation to Cyril?
Goal and Assist within 8 minutes, well within 1 hour and 8 minutes of us announcing him joining us! Got to be a record for us!

Don't believe so... the name Regis is legendary at Vale Park... for Dave Regis the Stoke City striker... FA Cup Reply early 90's one of the great nights... Vale are 2-1 up in torrential conditions when Regis is presented with an open goal... shoots but the ball gets stuck in the mud on the goal line and Peter Swan boots the ball away laughing his head off as Vale complete a famous victory...

This chap seems to have had a good education with Arsenal and Southampton... decided to leave Colchester last season to look for first team football and has been at Sittingbourne and Farnborough. Deal until end of the season so we can get a proper look at him, John Rudge seems to have found him and he was famous for his rough diamonds when managing us with the likes of Ian Taylor, Andy Jones, Robbie Earle etc so hopefully this is an improvement on Brown's tactic of signing anyone who can stand up and kick a ball regardless!

I'd sign eagles as he can score goals and we need a goalscoring midfielder.also I'd like to think we will bugger off a few players that arnt required Wilson Middleton defreitas for starters probably get rid of some keepers aswell.

As long as he's still in East Anglia on the 13th ;)

Oh, and Danny Rose linked to ourselves and Coventry in the Mail.

Rumours that we're gearing up to bring Danny Rose home in January which would be amazing.

Could today be Nathan Jones' last Luton Town match, with Sunderland sniffing around?

Aitor Karanka is the favourite, but Jonesy is a very ambitious manager who will go far in the game.

Of course I'd love to see him stay and I don't think he will go, but I suppose it wouldn't be a surprise if he did.

James Gibbons signs a new deal taking him to 2020 with the club, broke into the side against Yeovil earlier in the season and has been outstanding (apart from his red on his debut!) pacey right back who has delivered a few assists.

Good proactivity from the club to secure him early avoid the potential tribunal loss ala Jordan Hugill at 50p and a packet of peanuts if he keeps progressing.

Nice that we are finally after a couple of decades of not really producing anyone bar Billy Paynter Sam Morsy and Chris Birchall to having a few coming through at the same time with Nathan Smith, Ryan Boot, Gibbons and Dan Turner regularly featuring (plus Billy Reeves who had a few aps last season).

Not a transfer as such but the very promising youngster Jack Senior has extended his contract with the club. Very good knews. Just need to give him more playing time but its difficult with the players in the first XI doing the business. His time will come though I feel.

Not a player but coaching wise Neil Aspin has signed on former team mate and fellow Vale legend of the 90's Jon McCarthy as fitness coach following his exit as manager of Chester FC. Getting the legendary side of the 90's slowly back together upstairs!

Do Luton have good young players or something?

He's a bit like Dean Saunders or Lee Clark, utterly shit at whatever he does, but somehow keeps re-appearing with new clubs, despite being utterly shite at whaterver he does
