He's a bit like Dean Saunders or Lee Clark, utterly shit at whatever he does, but somehow keeps re-appearing with new clubs, despite being utterly shite at whaterver he does

Luckily well away from the playing side!

We've signed Oscar Gobern on a free, had been training with us for a couple of weeks.

He played a number of games for Mansfield last season. In a couple of games he shown some promise but in majority he was completely not at the races. Didn’t look fit or capable of being fit. Apparently had a major injury season before joining Stags.

He then went to Ross County but he hardly played for them. I think just one sub appearance.

We’ve re-signed CB Dan Seaborne on a free. Came through our youth and captained us to two promotions before being sold to Southampton for £250k.

We need him as it looks like Troy Brown is out long term but I’ve never been overly convinced by Seaborne. Solid enough player but nowt spectacular.

We've signed Dayle Grubb from Weston he like doidge has scored over 27 goals this calender year but he's an attacking midfielder. Very exciting signing.

Exciting signing, lads obviously got a lot about him scoring that many from midfield. We need someone else to take the pressure off Doidge a bit.

Billy Paynter has left Warrington FC with a view, he hopes, of playing for us.
Undecided whether this is potentially good or bad.

In the opening game of the 2015/16 season, playing for Hartlepool, he scored the first and and provided and assist for Rakish Bingham.

Maybe some of the Rakish magic has rubbed off on Billy. Be afraid! :bg:

Not a transfer rumour as such, but it looks like Forest have confirmed that they won't be recalling either Ryan Yates or Jorge Grant in January, which is massive news for our season.

Dan Scarr has had his loan spell from Birmingham extended until the end of the season, good news as we're missing 2 defenders and if Eze is allowed to stay by QPR after his loan runs out in January i'll be a happy man.

Matt Rhead signs a one-year contract extension, which takes him through to 2019.

He had a slow start to the season and spent a bit of time on the bench (along with others from last seasons starting XI), so you wondered how long he'd be around at one point but we've seen signs over the last few games since he's come back into the side that he's started playing well again and linking up with Green better. Even if he isn't a starter next season, he's a good Plan B.

I think it's a massive shame with Rhead that he didn't turn pro until 27 and had never had any coaching up until that point either. He's far better than he's given credit for. He's obviously not going to get around the pitch like other target men but other aspects of his game are undervalued because of his appearance.

Rhead is a decent League 2 back up, would take him back here.

He's a decent footballer and like you say, shame he didn't come into professional football earlier because he's certainly got the brain. If he'd have been a pro since 20/21, he might have been an Akinfenwa type striker. Fair play for him getting a new deal, we still love him here and will get a good reception in January.

Mick McCarthy has confirmed that Danny Rowe is set to join @LincolnCity_FC on loan until the end of the season in January #itfc

Been linked with us even in his Macclesfield days and another winger, so I suspect that'll see Stewart (on a short term contract) and/or JMD (break clause in his season long loan in January) depart.

Danny Rowe scored milions of goals for Flydle, cracking signing that.

Think there's at least 2 Danny Rowes in not 3, the one at Fylde scoring loads of goals was with us in 2014/15 but our then manager Gary Simpson hardly played him then got shot of him...

Danny Rowe, think we actually bid or at least rumored to have bid around 100k for him then Ipswich bid and it was gone. Decent signing.

One at York as well, I think.

We were the same. Bid £30k IIRC last January and Ipswich came in and offered £100k and off he went.

Posh Chairman has confirmed rumours around these parts that we're in for Ricky Miller in January. On one hand, you'd not turn down a player who scored 40+ goals in the league below last season, but on the other hand he's apparently a bit of a knob (and also has a court date hanging over him until April time). Sounds like it'd not be a loan and on that basis, I'd be a bit reluctant because they'll be after a silly figure I imagine.

Ex-Imp Lee Frecklington also being strongly linked. He's out of contract in the summer at Rotherham and recently moved back to Lincoln with his family to settle down here again after a bit of time away through football. Not sure Rotherham will want to lose their Captain midway through the season, though.

Apparently 6 clubs interested we've tried signing him before so wouldn't Suprise me if we were in for him again, prefer doidge though
