BBC Essex are 'strongly' linking us with Mandron of Colchester United.

We're also being with Lyle Taylor and Tom Hopper, as we were in January.

I thought Billy Waters played for Cambridge, pretty sure he scored against us in one of Wilkinson's 3 games in charge.

Yeah he was on loan at Cambridge from Northampton

Waters is OK, runs around a lot which endeared him to the fans at first but then started to realise he wasn't actually contributing much. To be fair though he got better towards the end and chipped in with a few, much of a muchness for me, not a bad signing at this level but not one I was particularly keen on us making.

Ollie Banks on a two year deal, no surprise there. He looked really good for us last season albeit in a lower division. If he can replicate that it’ll be a good signing.
As I may have mentioned before, Banks was the best midfielder I saw in the National League in our time there and I am really pleased with this signing. He suits our style of football under Mellon and, crucially, brings the best out of Jennings and Norburn.

Plenty of suggestions from elsewhere that he has a suspect attitude, but we did not see any of that when he was with us last season.

If you sign him then you’ll almost certainly ship at least 10 goals that could have easily been avoided. Made some serious, critical errors that cost us so many points. The Crewe game sealed his future because he totally bottled it and Aspin was not happy about it. He’s probably a Conference North or lower standard of keeper.

Seems like Waters is a forward that can play up front, out wide or behind the striker. Possibly a replacement for Ben Whitfield in behind and running off Pope with the versatility to push up or go out wide. Sounds like he could be promising.

I actually felt sorry for Boot, he shat himself against us, yes he made an error for the first goal, but our crowd absolutely destroyed him. I have never seen a player fake injury to escape like he did. He handled it all wrong, but sometimes an experience like that can make an individual stronger, he will probably sign for Macc and make 20 world class saves against us and Macc beat us 1-0!

I think it did actually turn up that he did have an injury and had to miss the last few games

Now official, first new one through the door. Seems like he scored a lot of goals for Borehamwood from the wing?

Edit, 22 last season in the NL.
An excellent player, one of the best in the National League last season. Creates chances as well as scoring goals.

I am a bit gutted that we did not go after him, as we need more options out wide.

Must be expensive to get him off Boreham Wood. Lincoln splashing the cash again as expected.

I'm sure SoC knows he was a freebie.

Boreham Wood seemed to have had a good front 3 for the last couple of years, so I can't really recall him and which one was which. 35 or so in 80 isn't a bad return from a wider position.

Seems a solid start to our summer business, though.

Very good player Andrade.

Him, Ferrier & Balanta were a really strong front 3 for B Wood.

20 in the league, 2 in the fa cup, 2 in the trophy and 2 playoffs from 55 games an excellent record.
Spent last 3 seasons in the NL but was in the league before that.
Sure we've been linked with him before.

Will he ever get the ball to his feet though? Can he make the step up? Answers will probably be ready in 6-8 months.

He has played in the Premier League so I think he can make the step up, probably a bit quicker than in 6-8 months time.

The fact he has played in the premier league is worth absolutely nothing.

I'm not suggesting he's definitely going to be a flop or anything, before anyone gets a tad aggy. I have no idea just like yourself.

Andrade was the only player who turned up for Boreham Wood in the play-off final - has scored in his last 4 appearances against us and won't be shocked when he makes that 5 in a row when we play Lincoln. Proabably Boreham Wood's best player and easily good enough to play at this level. Good signing.

On the TRFC front, GK Scott Davies has signed a new 2-year deal - pretty happy with that. Makes the odd gaff but a solid lower league keeper.
