Six 1-0 wins in the last ten league games now, today probably the best one of the lot.

Shame the free-scoring side of the early season has seen the goals dry up, but as long as we keep them out at the other end then it's not all bad. Last week aside, of course...

Sounds like we were all over Stevenage from start to finish. Surprised to go behind against the run of play and sorted it in the 2nd half.

Really encouraging win.

MK getting caught up seemingly with the pack

Incredible result for us. First win since 1962 or something.
Someone dare to tell me Stockley isn't the best striker in the division..

Noticed that Akinde (pen) guy scored again for Lincoln today, but on my app they dropped the second part of his name for some reason. Weird.

Now we know exactly why Newport have scored and conceded goals in equal measure. Threatening going forward, but not good enough at the back.

It should have been a really comfortable afternoon for us but a set piece on the stroke of HT to make it 2-1 and an error from the 'keeper under-hitting a pass to a CB to make it 3-2 made it nervier than it needed to be.

Akinde's been getting better and better in the last month. Another goal and assist for him today.

Keeps the gap there and we now have 7 of our next 9 away from home!

Weirdly this season, we're still to have someone score more than one in a game. We've scored 3's, 4 and 6 and probably around 55-60 goals yet no-ones got a brace.

I would almost have taken a 2-1 defeat today given our away form, but we actually should have won the game. We had three or four good chances before Bury's opener, but Norwood had a real off-day in front of goal. Bury had a lot of possession but we looked more threatening on the counter attack.

For the first goal, Maynard scored with a header from the edge of our eighteen yard box, which almost certainly would not have happened if McNulty had not have gone off injured at half time.

Frustrating, but the rest of our Christmas fixtures are very winnable.

Most frustrating away defeat of the season as, unlike most of the rest, we actually should have won it. Neither team looked particularly arsed for large parts of the game but still.

So good going forward first 15 -20 could have been home n dry but we got complacent and let a decent side back into the game.
Both keepers let themselves down today.
Not as much as the Cowleys mind as Danny saw red in injury for moaning at the officials.
Both teams got poor decisions but they really need to suck it up more.

You at 3/4 was far too obvious to go for so did, it was MK who “let” me down.

I think the game we played against you is the best way to go about it, despite us going behind, and same goes, the game you played at field mill was a great away tactic performance with the seemingly standard late goal between us.

Umm that’s what I meant.

Sorry my man. Just battered after another Mansfield win. Well done on your win too, over a club who did something or other a century ago

Most Bury fans agree with you and Caprice tore McFadzeen a new one

Poorest I've seen from us in months. We sorely miss JMT at CB, and we had one or two players playing out of their normal positions. Credit to Colchester, but we were far from our best and deserved to lose. An off day.

Only being top of the league by 4 points.

I missed your post-match comments after the Lincoln, Mansfield game.

I am more interested in David ‘I fucking Hate Mansfield Town’ Imp comments though, he never got back to me!

Think the sisters got annoyed by Mansfield again.

You almost think they’ve voodoo dolls.

Given how wank the cripples are down in the relegation zone and chesterfield are well, wherever they are may as well argue with Lincoln

A real missed opportunity for us after being on top for the whole of the second half. At least I got a close-up view of the goal of the season by Yoann Arquin.

Me, no. Never.

Cracking result though for us. I think had it been last season or the one before we’d have lost that. When Stevenage scored (against the run of play) I didn’t doubt we’d get something back from the game.

To go on and win 3-1 is really impressive d

At the darts yesterday so didn’t manage to follow our game closely.

87 minutes flashes up on my phone we’ve taken the lead.
30 seconds later, 1-1.

Excellent.

We should have been out of sight at half time. Then the open goal miss second half too. Signs for optimism going forward. On another day we’d have won by 3 or 4 goals.

Jay Harris was poor though and we need to get backup for Banks in January.
