So tomorrow sees the Adonis Harry Kewell and his boys come to town, Harry has been quoted this week as saying that his biggest regret in football was that the League 2 sexiest managers thread on 1FF was never completed, robbing him of his obvious claim to this title.
He said its taken the shine off his Champions League winners medal big time.
1FF Admins who pissed off Son Of Cod into not finishing the thread, hang your heads in shame. :told:

It was the admins mate. The mods are generally incompetent yet harmless (Luke Imp who is a saint, aside). Underlings.

I am feeling confident about this one. Luke Summerfield and James Berrett who we all love to hate are harnessing their inner Iniesta and Busquets right now. The mans like Sam Jones and Siriki 'THE KID' Dembele put the mighty Port Vale to the sword last week. We just need to sort out Dixon and Clarke.

Back to back wins imminent for The Mariners.

Glad to see SOC uses a more correct nickname for his club, rather than the shameful dalliance their fans once made with the noble Haddock back in the days of supporter inflatable devices

There is only one club with a legitimate claim to the noble Haddock for a nickname, even if we have rather <ahem> Sarf Lunnun-ified it.

Nice trophy SOC. Shame about the fish.

Wait are you a Londoner (although your own username and club don't seem to tally either?!) who actually knows the score with haddock? Ie. haddock > cod? I have never heard of a Charlton haddock thing? Is that an Addick Cockney rhyming slang thing then?

I'm an exiled Mariner living in East London. Can see West Ham's horrible mew ground from my house, but that also puts me in a spot not too far from The Valley, will end up getting there at some point to pay my respects to the other place where Sir Clive ripped it up.

Very glad my iFollow wouldn't let me stream the game today.
Yep. I used to waste my money actually going to not see Grimsby play any decent football, but now I just give a fraction of that straight to iFollow and VPNs and it's much less frustrating and depressing.

Absolute garbage, one of the worst games I’ve seen us play in years. I’ve run out of adjectives to call Paul Dixon- one of the worst footballers I’ve seen play for us.

Why wouldn't it let you when you were using a vpn?
I have tried with a paid VPN twice now, tried activating the VPN both before and after signing in. Hasn't worked. I've got the monthly pass and a VPN for a month so will try again in midweek, but it just never loads the match for me. I haven't even seen a sniff of action.

Oh, I thought you were able to stream the match going on your previous post. It definitely works though if one doesn't go for the monthly pass but buy a match pass for a fiver every time or get the season pass instead. The clue's in the 'monthly' bit as expats do not have this option, so that's a big giveaway to the iFollow chaps that you're actually in the UK.

This was brought to our attention on the U's facebook page before the season started. A chap advised us not to opt for the monthly pass as that option is only visible on a UK based pc/tablet whatever. In your case you could try deleting your present account but I'm not sure it will work now though it should. I know a fiver per game is a bit costly but it's nothing compared to 20 quid or in some cases 23 quid or more that the L2 clubs charge.

No idea, did the usual stuff. Made sure VPN was on before even opening the browser etc but never had the option to watch the game like I usually do. I was quite glad in fairness as I had no desire to watch it in the first place.

Oh wow absolutely vital knowledge there Vanni. I think my mistake has been I signed up for a monthly pass. Tried the VPN. Didn't work. Signed out of iFollow. Signed out of and back into VPN. Signed back into iFollow. Not working...but obviously this is back into a monthly pass account. Will try the VPN first and then buy a match pass. FFS what a ballache! But thanks for the info, good to know.

I'm a Londoner by origin, Codders. Greenwich born and raised (hence Charlton fandom) but I relocated to Cornwall after graduating from university in 2005 and I've completely embraced my new home.

As you asked, I should explain. Charlton have been nicknamed the 'addicks since the 1930's.

'addick is a Londoner corruption of Haddock and the nickname was acquired due to a local fishmonger who used to donate boxes of the fish for players post match suppers.

Apparently, it was very good fish and so tasty that visiting players who enjoyed their suppers started to call Charlton "The Haddock club". This was latched onto by fans who gave it the London inflection of 'addick and started shouting out "Come on you 'addicks" during matches. The nickname stuck.

I hope this helps.

Regards.

Do any of them work?

The Lincoln version doesn't seem to have fully done so yet this season.

0-0 in Clethorpes. Sometimes shift work ain't such a pain when all is said and done.

4 points from the last two away games. I'd have bit your hand off if you'd offered that. Next; back to losing at home on Tuesday and Saturday.
