Who???
Seriously bizarre appointment.

Took me literally 20 seconds via the link that Devil posted but seeing as you appear to be incapable, I’ll help you out a bit.

Gabriele, who celebrates his 43rd birthday today, is a former defender who played extensively in Italy’s Serie B for 11 clubs, making nearly 400 appearances.

He turned to coaching in 2010 and has held a number of appointments, both in Italy and abroad including spells in the academy at Adelaide United in Australia and at Arabian Gulf League side Al Jazira.

Most recently, he was part of Gianfranco Zola’s coaching staff during his time in charge of Birmingham City in the 2016-17 season.

We have a history of seemingly off the wall appointments.
Steve Evans and Harry Kewell for example.
I wonder if Evans would be where he is now if it weren't for us taking a chance on him.

If he’s half as barmy as Di Canio when we appointed an Italian coach you are in for a hell of a ride!!
Might be worth checking out his interview on our OS later and making up your own mind.
Early thoughts are that he's sensible and realistic!

Booooooring!

So you won’t be signing about 70 players and nearly going out of business then?

That’s probably for the best! :)

Evans would be eating food out of bins down a back alley.

Actually maybe he does that already

Paul Hart leaves his role as assistant manager at Luton to join us as ‘technical director’

Given how much money you're losing, and with Kewell not coming cheap, can you keep affording these losses?

Just got back from getting high in Spain and we have a new manager I've never heard of.

All I can do is hope he is a good manager.

Tbf, as Evans is once again proving at Posh, he's probably one of the best young up and coming managers in the Football League. If it weren't for his previous dodgy bastardness he would be emulating the likes of Dyche and Howe by this point. Maybe even better.

Young? He’s 56.

Nathan Rooney joins Crawley as assistant thingy. Was academy coach at Fleetwood so he should have knowledge of English lower league football.

Also club captain, Jimmy Smith, added to the coaching staff. Just been reported he is out for six months with a cruciate ligament injury so a good deal all round.

Now we have no interim/caretaker managers, who will be the next manager out the door?

Dunne, Austin, Yates or Bentley?

That said, the former three are new appointments and Bentley is Mr. Morecambe.

If Northampton don't improve I can't imagine it won't be Austin, they were truly dreadful against us on Saturday, and the fans appeared to be getting on their back during the game.

I see Gary Johnson has been appointed Torquay manager. Dropped down to National League South but his non-lesgue record is superb so he should do well.

At his age I suppose he probably just works for the hell of it now, similar to John Still.

Won't be Dunne, I'm pretty sure of that. The BOD must be aware that he's not doing that badly with the limited squad/a not too healthy playing budget that he's got to work with. They also refused to let him bring in a couple of loanees when everybody can see we're desperately short of bodies in defence and attack.

Northampton were one of the better sides we've played in a long time I thought.

It's a funny old game isn't it?

They dominated possession in the first half against us but had no bite whatsoever, once we got ahead it was a stroll, and this is a team that doesn't stroll to anything these days.
