Better start one of these I suppose.

We’ve been pretty dire so far this season - at least as far as entertainment goes. I’d advise any Mansfield fans with sore necks to give this one a miss.

Have absolutely no idea how this will pan out so I’ll go for a shite 1-1

I would expect us to win this with our decent home record (there, jinxed it). Can't disagree with Dan, it may be fairly dire but you just never know what to expect from us this season. Scrappy 1-0?

Ohhh how I would love to sack evans. Shame it won't happen after all the money he's spent.

Some good players but a lot that don't care and are past their best. Never mind at least chesterfield are going down

If we don't improve soon, so are we! That was dire.

Would Mansfield fans be upset if Evans left for Gills?

That's got to be it for Stevie surely? I knew it would be if I were Radford and the money I was paying him.

Don't think he will be going anywhere yet but we certainly require improvement.

Id rather have someone like Keith Hill, John Coleman, Darrell Clarke.... theres loads of good managers who aren't complete arseholes... And we know evans only does well throwing loads of money at it..

Hes got some good players here and we all trusted his judgement, but I think he's been away from this league for a few seasons and is now behind a lot of other managers. Lot of good signings on paper but I feel after watching them 15 times they're either not in their prime or not ready yet.

As a manager, different team every week, players out of position, no player looks happy, no player seems to understand what their job is, few not interested. Lot of refs against us but I probably would be if I had that gobshite shouting at me all game.

Evans seems to be engineering a move to me.

Despite what he said about staying, the two games after that he's been taking digs at the fans in his pre and post match interviews. He's making his position very clear IMO.

Again another dig at the fans in his post match interview. I'm not arsed if he leaves, Gillingham can have him. I seriously don't know what he's trying to achieve, we don't have a certain style of play it's neither here nor there and he clearly doesn't have a clue on his best team. The likes of Mellis and MacDonald are fantastic footballers but they'll be playing well one week and getting splinters in their arse the following Saturday. I honestly don't rate Evans as a manager.

As for today Swindon wanted it more, easy easy win for them. Was impressed with Norris, Goddard and their big centre half number 4 was excellent but don't know his name?

His name is Matt Preston. Picked him up out of contract when our other young CB Conroy did his ACL the other week.

These players are out there. He’s been impressive in all 3 games he’s played. We’re not the most exciting of teams but we seem to be efficient at this level. Play offs beckon - no more than that.

I don't think Evans knows his best side. Happens when you sign boat loads of players and constantly change your side. Tuesday is a big game now for him...

A boat of load of players some of whom he claimed to watching once or in one case signing the wrong player.
He's a con man, a twat and a bully!
And his mate is even worse!
When you start having a go at the fans you're days are numbered.

But Evans is such a successful lower league manager once he's once again convinced a chairman of his talents so they open their wallets. And let's be honest in L2 terms he's certainly opened his wallet more than most.

He's guaranteed promotion right? Despite all his disgravefuly touchline antics.

It'll come together , just like under Paul Cox, 2nd half of the season it will all click and all that money will be well spent

Keep the faith yeeeelllllooowwwssss

Thank God we dodged the Evans bullet and appointed Flitcroft. Sure, the football ain’t brilliant but at least everybody has bought into it. Hopefully, the stay away fans, me included, will return.

I’ll be there Tuesday to see off Lincoln.

Nowt really revelatory in seeing Evans' ugly attitude come bite to bite his continental sized ass.

In previous years he'd simply ship-out anyone who'd had enough of him, but now he's gotta work with a squad of increasingly pissed-off players.

Be quite funny under different circumstances...

Because he spoke badly about the fans while in the process the team have performed poorly, use ya noodle.

That's it? Having a pop at the fans and losing 2 games in a row = toxic. Jeez talk about being melodramatic.

I wasn't surprised to see Mansfield lose the last two games

I wasn't surprised to see The_Viking_Magpie piping up in the Mansfield match thread either as he does seem to have quite an obsession with them.

Oh the irony lol

I was indeed at the excellent Beer Fesitval Costa Del, but you would only know that if you had read the Notts vs Barnet thread? Lol. So only obsessed if you post not read other teams threads? Alrighty then :)

And as for our our friends in Grimboland ...... posting in Lincoln match day threads much? Yeah every now and then ;)

Back on topic? Evans (who I am obsessed with) ??? Toxic atmosphere? Barnet away?

What is your obsession based on Viking? Is it specifically Evans or just some bizarre need to feel a part of our club?

To be fair to Flitcroft, he's a bit of a dick himself. Not to the same standard of Evans, but he's up there.
