So we finally have a new manager, and it just so happens to be our greatest ever youth product in Michael Duff.

He's come in with a fresh attitude that is just what the club needed. He was very highly thought of at Burnley and I've seen a number of tweets from Burnley supporters and supporter sites stating that they hope he goes back there as manager one day.

Onto the game this week then, I'm intrigued by the team that Duffo will put out. We've got 28 players on the books and he's said that all will start with a clean slate. With only 2 injuries out of that 28, then one suspects it won't be all that different to Russ Milton's last team, especially as Russ is remaining as Assistant.

Can't say I've followed Crewe much so far this year, so don't know what to expect from them, but this week will be all about Duff's return home to Cheltenham fans.

Unfortunately, it being my son's 8th birthday, the wife has planned his party (probably on purpose) for 3:00 on Saturday, so I shan't be there.

If the party is due to finish at 4:55pm then you know it’s defo on purpose.

We really need to start showing some consistency and start improving our away form as well. This season has taken on a very similar feel to last season in the first half. Big injuries, shite away form, the manager making odd comments and the same mistakes with the formation and tactics.

And now we have the new manager factor with Cheltenham, which is never a good sign. Got a feeling we'll lose this 1-0 or 2-1. Would take a point right now.

I'd have taken a point before the game, so won't grumble too much. The lack of goals(5 out of 7 games we haven't scored in) is a concern, but that was our 4th clean sheet, so the defence is holding up at least. But with Bowery, Porter, Miller, Nicholls, Kirk, Ainley and Jones, we really shouldn't be struggling to score on a game to game basis this much.

Need a result next week against the Vale with some tough games coming up after that.

Not the best game. Missed most of it watching Simon Yates on phone tbf. Two very similar quality teams. Can’t believe we didn’t nick it in injury time but Cheltenham could probably say the same about their chances.

Wintle should have buried that chance, I’m not buying this worldie save rubbish. Keeper should have had no chance. But saying that a draw sounded fair. Apart from the debacle at Col Uwe we seem a lot more solid at the back, despite chopping and changing every week due to injuries. Ray seems to becoming top class at this level. Just hope next week is one of ours in which we score goals in gluts like seems to be the case at the moment, it’s either 3+ or nothing.
