Brought in a couple of good players in on deadline day, but so did MK, game could go either way but expecting a close game, 1 goal in it either way, should hopefully take close to 3000 fans, which would be a good showing from us.

Inb4 Oxford fans claim they have more fans than us in our own stadium tommorow.

Anyway, I'm expecting a tough, close game. Wouldn't be surprised if either team got all 3 points or if it ended in a draw. Oxford have some good players, and made a couple of impressive deadline day signings. Likewise we brought in Gilbey from Wigan, and a Championship-calibre left back in Golbourne from Bristol City.

Easy to underestimate us given our poor start, but we have had one of the biggest squad turnovers in the league, probably only 3 or 4 of our starting 11 tommorow were here last season, so it's taking a while to gel.

The quality is undoubtedly there though - Tshibola, Gilbey, Agard, Ariyibi, Ebanks-Landell, Golbourne etc are all Championship calibre players.

Hope we win

No shit?

Excuses about needing to bed in new signings tells me the Dons know they are not up to scratch. I expect a 3-0 victory, with the away fans to outnumber the home support again.

We've made 12 signings this summer, some of whom have never played in English league football before, and released/sold 9 first team players, 4 of whom would have been in the starting 11 today (Baldock, Reeves, Martin, Potter).

Of course they need time to gel, they aren't going to be a cohesive team after 4 league games, it would be naive to think otherwise.

"away fans to outnumber the home support again" :ffs: Ok, I guess the club just outright lie about attendances. I'm sure investors/club directors would be a bit concerned if our matchday revenue didn't lineup with our attendance figures.

I reckon Milton Keynes are going to struggle here - they've started poorly and their team doesn't look to be a cohesive unit yet.

We had 16 in, 16 out and aren't making excuses

I would be very interested to see the statistics for sides who start poorly after summer transfer upheaval and actually get better without sacking the manager or making further movements in the transfer market. There can't be many.

A point at MK won't be a bad thing but that's 2 from 9 for us and some of our injury prone signings are getting injured.

We were shite first half, but much better in the second. Oxford looked good on the counter, and probably should have nicked it.

Good away crowd from Oxford, but to save you all time from claiming there were more Oxford than MK, this photo clearly proves otherwise..

Definitely should have nicked it but on balance we were probably second best overall, we're still learning and were without a few important players today so not the end of the world

'Kin 'ell did the people of Milton Keynes not know you had a game on?

(before you mention our third full ground, ours was regularly close to full when first built, yours has always been too big :bdick:)

Likewise, we were without Sow, Agard and Aneke who are all first choice in their positions. It was a close game, especially the second half.

Wasn't going to mention your ground, I had no idea about it. I only posted the pic as it's the usual shite from visiting fans where they claim we don't have the numbers we report, just because nobody likes us and likes to get one over on us where they can.

Obviously a 30k stadium only one third full is going to look empty, but we still have bigger home crowds than most of the teams in L1 aside from Charlton, Bradford, Blackburn, Wigan and Portsmouth.

Franchisor, are you aware that you're the only one bringing up the point on the home fans, that you brought it up in every post, and that no one would have mentioned it if not for you?

Stop worrying about it and enjoy your weekend

The point about attendances is getting boring quickly. We needed the 30,000 seater stadium to actually bring the club to Milton Keynes. I'm sure most of us would agree that maybe a 15,000 or 20,000 seater would have been better, but it just means that when we decide to not be useless for long periods of time and start to climb up the leagues, the facilities are already there.
As for actual attendances, the size of the stadium and the fact we spread everybody out is obviously going to make it look like a lot less than announced, but the aisles themselves are quite big meaning it automatically looked like less are there.

You're blaming aisles for the ground looking empty?
