Big game this, innit?

We're closing in on 5,500 and I suspect MK have sold about 10,000? Either way, they've got a couple of ticket offers on so it'll be a decent crowd.

Got a feeling we might see Shackell back for this one. He's not been seen since he limped off 3 or 4 weeks ago but this is the sort of game Cowley will want him back for and might risk.

Will probably stay with the same front four rather than leave one out to get another CM in.

Like most league 2 teams, it depends who turns up on the day for us.

Unlike Lincoln we aren't consistent. On a good day we can win well, on a bad day, :sur:

Hopefully a cracking match with a few goals and an MK win. Probably a no goal draw bore fest.

Pressure nearly off now as we only need 6 points now.
Hoping we go out and put on a show.
Is it naff cardboard clappers all round or just home fans?

I'd be very happy with a draw on this one.

Same here. We go to Tranmere next week, and point would mean they couldn’t overhaul us with a win. On form alone they look the biggest threat to us getting promoted, despite the defeat at Oldham.

Big game, big crowd expected. Both sides will go up. Think it'll be a draw which the Cowleys will be plenty happy with, just like the point we got at both Bury and Mansfield.

5,500 away fans. We've definitely outgrown this league, has to be said. Clubs with a fanbase like ours always get out of this league seemlessly, similar to Pompey, Coventry, Luton. We take away more than Mansfield and Grimsby get at home. Says it all. Looking forward to regular games against the likes of Leeds and the Sheffield pair in the not too distant future. Some good tests to come.

Reckon we'll have around 10k-12k in the home end due to some very generous (desperate?) offers from the club with ST holders allowed to bring a mate for free, as well as free for under 12s, free Nando's for home fans etc.

With Lincoln's impressive 5.5k or so this should be at least 17k and a half decent atmosphere for a change (albeit with clappers for us poor MK supporters). Should be the league's biggest attendance this season.

Expecting a very tough game. If Lincoln win it then they're as good as Champions IMO, but if we win it then the gap will close to 5 points and make things very interesting for the remaining 5 games.

Prediction: 1-1

Good and bad news for us.

Shackell back in for this one, which is a huge boost. Just hope that he isn't too rusty.

Big blow that Rowe misses out having gone off last week but Cowley has opted against playing it safe and brought McCartan in, instead of going with O'Connor or Frecklington and having another body in CM. An attacking line-up from us.

What a result. We're as good as champions now, never mind promoted.

Cheers Lincoln good result for you and you’re deservedly the champions, though our games were very equal we’ve not been able to match you over the course of the season.

You get to sit back and chill while Mansfield MK and bury slog it out for the other 2 spots

On reflection, that’s the sort of game that will win you the league. Didn’t think Lincoln deserved to win but that little bit of luck and the quality to score that sort of goal when you’re on the back foot is important over the season. As winkelman said to one of our fans, you need that luck to win the league and Lincoln had that today.

Bit disappointed in the ref but I’m used to that now, Chuks is still being penalised for being stronger and we should have had a penalty, although if we’re going to lose a game in the run in that’s the one I’d have chosen.

I think the Lincoln fans are there to support Lincoln, regardless of whether they like what MK stand for or not?
It’s the fact that when talking to a few fans both at the away game and every time I was at Sincil Bank selling programmes last season, whenever id mention where I’m from and who I support I got countless ‘I’d never go there, I’d never give them any money’ and yet we had Lincoln’s highest away attendance of the century. The caption was tongue in cheek

Best thing about this thread is that nobody had a bite at Impish’s top quality attempt at fishing.
Well done everyone! :bg:

We always turn up in the big games under Cowley.

Gilks' point blank save in injury time hasn't been spoken about a lot. It's close to him, but the reaction time there was incredible and of course Bruno finishes it off from the resulting GK.

I still can't make my mind up on the penalty. Their player doesn't need to go to ground and because the ball will have been going in the same direction whichever player gets a touch first, it's always a risk. One of those where you give the ref a decision to make. Even Tisdale couldn't really work it out.

Sadly, I think the bait was a bit too obvious. The size to catch a great white!

Lucky Lincoln at it again. Only a matter of time before they are found out.
