Love Mo. There used to be a time all you had to do was stand off him and watch him run it into the advertising boards. Ballon D'or imminent.

Liverpool paid €42 million for a player who scored 34 goals in 83 appearances for AS Roma. The 25-year-old striker is doing well so far at Anfield, but he needs to improve considerably to become a world-class striker. I don't think he has enough potential, and Europe's top teams (Barça, Real, Bayern, etc.) will not be interested in him.

This is a good point and something Bilo raised a while back with regards to Sadio Mané. Both players are very good (especially in a system like the one Liverpool are currently using under Klopp) but not of sufficient quality (or, perhaps, profile) to be potentially lured away to the big boys.

In a similar vein I think Mkhitaryan would do wonders at Liverpool whereas he is struggling to make much of an impact at United.

Mane is better, though that's hardly a knock. Fantastic signing, but he will slow down as the goals are more evenly distributed among Mane, Coutinho and Firmino. Looking forward to seeing Egypt at the World Cup.

Mané is incredible with the ball. Over the past ten years only Suarez and Gerrard can compare to him in that regard. However, Salah is absolutely amazing off the ball. I mean, the guy can't really finish for shit, he misses sitters regularly and still gets one goal ever 100 minutes in the Prem. I'm trying to think of anyone that comes close to his ability to get into goalscoring positions but I can't recall us ever having one, so far.

I do agree though that Salah's goals will dry up (they surely must) but his off the ball movement is genuinely baffling. He really, really shouldn't score as many goals as he does based on skill alone.

His ability to accelerate from an almost stand still to full speed is unbelievable. Couple that with his brilliant reading of the game and you have the reason he's so good off the shoulders of defenders and why they're so shit scared of him.

I haven't seen Pagz so enthusiastic about anything since that time he went on a whisky-fuelled rampage through a smartphone factory.

half decent player. however, morata has a better goal to mins ratio and is therefore the far superior signing.
And now that Salah has surpassed him in this stat he's the better signing right? :hypo:

now then beelo mate, this is where it gets complicated due to the horiffic injury and tear jerkingly brave comeback of morata. something salah hasn't had to contend with. also, i no longer accept stats as evidence of anything mate.

Let's see what this FEARSOME attacking line does against Chelsea in a couple of games time then. You've played 3 of the good teams so far. Winning none and scoring just 1 goal. As I said, you're merely an on top team, flat track bullies.
Played four, scored two & won none. Fierce.

We scored one goal. Which, funnily enough, is the same amount of goals Chelsea, Spurs and United scored this weekend, the teams you're comparing us to. And furthermore, we still have the most points against the top 6 of all the top 6 since Klopp took charge which, you know, sort of makes a nonsense of the point you're attempting to make. But don't worry, I completely understand you can't accept when you're wrong mate. :2thumb:

He has made you look a right fool there Swansea
He's talking about last season like that has any relevance. It's like me saying the weather is crap today and having a reply back that it was nice three weeks ago. Liverpool's inability to mix it with the top teams will come back to haunt them.

17 goals in all competitions. And it's not even December.

What a player.

Imagine if someone had him fall to them on their fantasy draft and passed.

Bet that guy would be feeling a right chump now.

Does anyone remember the name of the dickhead that claimed Liverpool were signing an underwhelming player in Salah?

I'm usually good at remembering things like this but, for some reason, the name of the fool escapes my mind in this instance.

Well it wasn't me I knew he'd be boss having watched Serie A last season, though didn't think he'd be quite this good so far.

Perhaps the biggest footballing surprise today is that Liverpool scored 5 goals and Salah wasn't on the score sheet despite playing.
