With Keita joining Mane and Salah next season, has anyone considered whether they may be subject to burn out considering the high intensity that Liverpool play at and the fact that both Egypt and Senegal have qualified for the year's World Cup and are likely to also qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations to be played in June/July 2019?

Keita plays for Guinea who have not qualified for the World Cup but the number of qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations is increasing so it may be an issue for him as well.

I think Klopp may need to raid the transfer market in the summer for higher quality cover considering how the subs bench has looked at times this season and the fact that Can looks like he is leaving.

People saying De Bruyne has player of the season wrapped up. I'd have Salah at least level with him. Not just top of the goal scoring table, but up there with assists too.

I’m actually not so sure anymore. De Bruyne is next level and on his day, capable of truly wonderful football. I still think Salah is in a massive purple patch as opposed to KDB who I believe is a far superior footballer but player of the season is about contribution (to me anyways) and I can’t see how KDB has contributed more than Salah.

I agree, I'd give it to Salah over De Bruyne for the same reasons.

How big does a purple patch have to be before it's simply the quality the player has? Salah was fantastic for Roma over the last two seasons, scoring well in a team that doesn't attack like we do. He's raised his level since returning to the Premiership but I can't see anything to suggest his quality can be expected to reduce. He might score less but his movement is on another level and I can't see that disappearing. His assist rate is also fantastic.

Any player in a purple patch always look like they have “movement on another level”. Remember Vardy a few seasons ago during that goal scoring run? He looked like he was in the fucking matrix.

Salah wasn’t anything like this good for Roma though like you say, perhaps the way we play is a big part of this and he’s finally able to show what he can do....

I could be wrong and he could be a top 5 player for seasons to come and if so, I’d be delighted.
