So Tuesday is our final game in hand and one which we have to win to get ourselves back in the play off places and write off three poor games over the last week or so.

We’ve got very little cutting edge at the moment. It says it all that our second highest scorer is our right back, so lots of pressure on Stockley to score for us. Please Tisdale, play another striker with Stockley to give us a chance, but I fear we will stick with a 4-5-1 that leaves Stockley too isolated.

Vale don’t score many either so I can see a single goal settling this and I fancy it to be Vale to win it through a Pope penalty.

Anyway, hope the game goes ahead. I hear there’s been lots of snow in the potteries but hope the temperatures will rise enough to see it go ahead?

If Pope scores a penalty I will be stunned as hes out with a hernia operation. :)

We've looked much more dangerous of late, creating a lot more chances as we've had to change our style whilst he is out and should really have won the 3 games we've drawn in the past week.

A win here pretty much should see us safe, we are unbeaten at home in 4 months but not won in 3 months so probably another 1-1 draw! Forrester and Stockley as we keep inching to safety point by point.

Snow will be gone, only possibly issue may be if it waterlogs as it thaws as the pitch had a lot on it during that second half.

Nothing's ever nailed on when you are playing the Vale. We haven't lost that many lately but currently specialise in draws. We generally always concede, so you are guaranteed a goal. The only question is will we score in response. We've gone a long time since we were beaten at home, but teams on a poorish run usually find us in charitable mood.

We will miss Pope, no doubt about it, but at least the defenders are not using the 'get out' ball by lumping it up to him. We've now got to play a bit more football.

Hoping for another point as we limp slowly but surely towards the safety line. It would leave us 8 points clear (9 with our goal difference) which will take quite a bit of an upturn in form from the teams below us and also assumes that we won't get any more points.

I've just seen a picture of the pitch and it is clear of snow and looks in fairly good nick to be honest, temperatures set to be way above freezing tomorrow, so the only doubt is the amount of water, but should be good to go.

Just want to finish the season now and write this off, although I'm not holding out much hope for next season as the basis of our squad is pretty limited. Expectations were reasonably high until we actually saw the team starting to play - can't believe we're in this position to be honest!

Just had a quick look in my garden, would be amazed if this is off.
Really hope we can win this, it’s been so long!
I would imagine confidence is pretty good, we haven’t been beaten for a while, and played the odd bit of decent football Saturday, if we could start well and not give a cheap goal away to their first shot I would happy.
2-1 vale low threes in attendance.

Hopefully Donovan and Hannant finally scoring boosts their individual confidence too especially Donovan. Looked decent when he came on Saturday.

I’d like to start with two up front though! Too much to ask?

Games at home are seeing us concede around 10 minutes in... huff and puff to half time then go 2 up front and hammer on the door getting a point. Why not put Exeter on the back foot from the start rather than gift them a soft lead?!

Head says another draw, but heart says a win is overdue and this could be the game.

2-1 Forrester and Worrall

Congratulations on you first home win of 2018.
3-0 Vale. Tisdale blames the pitch.

we have had 5 successive home draws, most have been turgid affairs.
Don't see much changing tonight, maybe a sub 3000 crowd too, dire times at the Vale. 0-0.

4-1 Vale.

Tisdale sent to the stands.

We'd struggle to score this many in the entirety of our remaining matches. This season really has been a shambles and we've got a very poor team, so I wouldn't feel too downbeat about your chances. As has happened so many times, we are the patron saints of giving teams a helping hand when they are at a low ebb.

Tisdale is a canny manager, you have a set of decent players and were top of the league for a while, so you can't have turned bad overnight.

To be fair we are scoring and creating more at the moment... but we wont score 4 tonight. (Mind you didnt think we would against Luton in our last win all those months ago!).

If and a big IF we win it will be a 1 goal victory.

Win tonight and we are pretty much safe, assuming we scrape a draw or two in the remaining games.

Think this is my first game of 2018 due to work commitments! Don't know what all the Vale fans are moaning about, last time out I saw us obliterate Luton!

Just seen our lineup. A makeshift defence and no width.

Two up front is a plus but I fear a beating now.

Happy with two up front from the start finally. Shame Wilson had to pull out late on as would of been a plus but hopefully take the game to them and get a result.

Come on the Vale!

No Brown at centre half and of course Troy Archibald Henville can't play 2 games in a week so he's also missing. 2 up front with McAlinden partnering Stockley. The former really needs to step up.

Think we'll lose this one.

We’d probably win this with Pope playing if you had no width but although happy with two up front.... it could backfire ala Cheltenham away.

Just get that win and I can relax a bit! The stress of a first relegation battle in league two is too much!

Typical of us this season.

Another Mansfield game this probably. If we could finish we’d be out of this mess the past ten days!

Another worldie by a keeper against us!

Mega frustration again at Vale Park. Gift a 1-0 lead in a half of dominance. There for the taking but as we are seeing too often we just don’t take what’s there!
