Bignot has been treated really harshly, they don’t have any good players, he had to axe numbers, no backroom support staff. Earned Chester one of the greatest results in their history at Prenton Park.

Not sure who they think they can get that is better.

They should cut costs and just forfeit tomorrow’s game 3-0.

No suprise about gateshead. The chairmans a top bloke and has given it a go and leaves them debt free. Had they been better supported and had there own ground they would be a much more attractive buy

Doubt he's debt free though. The previous owner spunked millions on the club when Bogie was in charge.

They are debt free. Don't owe tax man or out any money and Richard bennots won't be calling in his investment from any new owner

They’re not debt free now, but they sure as hell will be.

How will they pay all those full time contracts for the next 2 years on those crowds?

Unless they all walk at the end of the season.

Alot of the contracts expire at the end of the season including the managers

Wouldn't mind trying to sign the Gateshead number 9 Danny Johnson, the sort of player we need.

Him and goalie (Montgomery) and even Steve Watson would be a asset to any club. Who knows some might leave before the ownership is resolved if a good offer comes in so they ain't without a club come june

I have to wonder whether he would have left anyway - Bignot was assistant here, but we were told he wasn't going to apply for the manager's job because he's got a great teaching job lined up for September 2018 in the Midlands. If that's still the case, then he probably only intended to see the season out at Chester.

He seemed like he wanted to stay (post Match Saturday) and supposedly offered to work for Chester even on a consultancy basis. Described the lack of “football people” there, which is what happens in smaller fan run clubs.

So it's down to 2.

We win sat lunch time and means Tranmere have to take 15 from 15. Whilst I want this finished off as soon as possible it would be a little bit shit should we win it 3 hours after our games finished.

Don’t panic - we’ll try and dick you so it doesn’t take the sheen off things. Win it with a bit of glamour at Eastleigh instead.

Mark Yates for manager of the year? Hugely impressive achievement.

I think we'll be on the prowl for a keeper during the coming months, obviously if Montgomery wouldn't mind dropping down a division I'd be quite content if we took him on. Is he currently full time or part time at Gateshead?

Full time all those in 1st team are. I think montgomerey would be after more a team at the same level or higher. Sub keeper hanford is ok

Oh well he won't be coming to us if he's full time. I seen Montgomery in goal down at AFC Telford when we got beat 2-0 in 2016. I thought he was good.
I don't know much about Hanford.

Interesting reading last years accounts for Tranmere, which actually met everything I was told.

Income in the region of £8m for the year ending June 30 2017. With a profit of £500k. Compares to a loss of £540k from the previous year.

Surely dwarfs anything else in this division and backs up the information I had which suggested we’ll just churn out a title chasing side every year.

Total wage bill rose from £2.36m to £3.46m within this, though well over half of this is not directly related to first team.

Being safe by the end of March will do for me!
Sorry to learn that your team are to be relegated.
I enjoyed time spent in your clubhouse and stroking your canine/lion.
Good luck next season.

On the FGR forum there is a discussion on exactly how many fans attended match against Barrow. One BBC site states 611 while the Guiseley website states 61!!!!!

It seems a long time ago that drink together, it's been a dire season! I hope FGR stay safe and go again next season.

Stewart Donald is taking over Sunderland, so is relinquishing his ownership of Eastleigh FC.

Are they in trouble now? Few players on large contracts.
