Teams for next season are confirmed as:

AFC Fylde
Aldershot Town
Barnet
Barrow
Boreham Wood
Bromley
Chesterfield
Chorley
Dagenham & Redbridge
Dover Athletic
Eastleigh
Ebbsfleet United
FC Halifax Town (est. 2008)
Harrogate Town
Hartlepool United
Maidenhead United
Notts County
Solihull Moors
Stockport County
Sutton United
Torquay United
Woking
Wrexham
Yeovil Town

No team here stands out for me before signings are made, but I suspect ourselves, Fylde, Chesterfield, Solihull and Notts County will be amongst the favourites. There will also be 2 separate leagues taking place this time with the brotherhood table being contested between 6 sides and the Magpie cup, which will be competed between Notts County, Chorley and Maidenhead. Good luck to all who aren't Fylde, Boreham Wood or Solihull!

Have to make an immediate response, we are up, will be happy to finish above about 18th I first season, we have a lot to learn and a lot of work to do but by God we are going to enjoy it. Be nice to win the magpie Cup though!

Teams from the North tend to fare well at this level. Looking forward to my visit to Chorley. So long as it's on a Saturday and we're not totally shite at the time we should have around 1000 travelling up.

Gateshead may well step aside to allow Aldershot back into the league. Isn't the Brotherhood one between 6 last time I checked?

Agree with you on that no one stands out at the minute.

Either way, can't wait for another soul destroying, gut wrenching, embarrassing and depressing season in the cesspit

Good spot! Must've got confused with the Magpie cup.

as Torquay and Halifax both used to be called the magpies (according to another thread) do they get honorary inclusion in the Magpie cup to make up the numbers?

Hang on, we have enough getting used to the extra travelling, not having Torquay as an extra!

Hopefully Salford will sign a load of new players again which should put us in a good position to get a few of the rejects. Think they'll go after Rowe as well. I'd be well happy with Walker and pretty much any of their defenders

The last time we played in a Magpie Cup we lost 7-1 at home to Newcastle so I'm quite apprehensive about this.

You can tell you've not done this before.

One of your furthest trips on a Saturday? It'll be a Tuesday.

No idea what to expect but after last seasons horror show I think we will at least know what to expect. Make up of the league means a little less travelling as well which will be good. Some ridiculous trips last season.

Interesting summer ahead.

Yeovil on a Tuesday so I don’t even have to think about going? The dream.

Chesterfield will be up there this season IMO.

The only team, with my rudimentary knowledge of this league, I would confidently expect to be title challengers at this stage. Only danger is that Sheridan has a tendency to wander off half way through a season.

My early take is that Chesterfield will win the league, but that is because I believe them to have the best manager and they will no doubt throw a bit of money at it this time. More than ourselves anyway.

Sheridan has done well everywhere he’s been other than here, where he managed the longest losing run in our history and threatened to knock out a linesman for costing his kids their Christmas presents. We can break even the best given six months with them.

They stand out at the moment, you and Fylde will be top 5 or 7 again I'm sure. The rest of it is up for grabs I reckon, I also think Bromley might be dark horses. Very strong side against us last season and seem to be strengthening well.

Funnily enough, I just did a really premature prediction for the league and had Bromley 6th.

Likewise your trip to the 'Bay. Expect it to be in mid-winter. Called off twice and re-arranged for a Thursday.

Think yourself lucky Braintree got relegated.

ok - give us all a laugh - what's the full predicted table? - and we won't refer to it too much if it's wrong - honest :bg:

i'd be very surprised if Barrow are lower than this seasons 11th - I'll be lumping on them to get a top 7 finish when the odds come out

Not a bad effort, I'd say Eastleigh too high (the money's run out), Barnet too low (playoffs maybe too big an ask with Still's dross all on two year deals, but we will be higher than 16th with Currie in charge).

Probably about right on Maidenhead though, I'd agree on the Sutton nosedive and Bromley for the playoffs is a good shout - couple of very good signings already.
