Full time, Ebbsfleet 0-1 Chesterfield

Sounded a very comfortable victory over the radio, especially in the second half. Great result for us, onto Tuesday against Aldershot at the Proact

1-1 FT, fair result imo. We look much improved so midtable obscurity should be an achievable target

Sounded about fair. Not too disappointed with a draw, solid enough result.

Winning start to life in the national league. I'll certainly take that. Just need to keep it up now.

A very positive performance and I think we've been underestimated by a few, not least H&W, who never really got out of second gear.

Some excellent passing football by us - hardly a long ball in sight! We've got what look to be two very good goalscorers in Hindle and Tyler Smith, and a very strong defender in Granite.

There will be times when we get stuffed, but a lot more confident we can stay up now.

First half was pretty even, second half we got absolutely battered by a decent Barnet side. Jake Cole, the woodwork and some body-on-the-line defending kept us in it. Barnet will surely be wondering how they didn’t win that.

Beat Bromley 2-1. Fairly even game, we probably edged it overall but we needed another wonder goal from Rowe to settle it. He was quiet throughout but thats what he does. Always difficult to play against Bromley, big physical back line but some good tricky players as well. Their goal was excellent and they'll be up there again. It took us 6 games to get our first win last season so very pleasing start. Joe Cardle looks a class act as well.

Onto Wrexham

looked to be robbed of a late equaliser by an old twat of a referee who saw their keeper drop the ball as he was fouled by his own player :ffs:

Wrexham solid, nothing special. Dover need a new penalty taker already :ffs:

Bloody hell we beat Dover. First time ever I think.
First time we've won the first game of the season when we've been away since at least 1998. I stopped checking after I got to 1998.

Dartford didn't count.

Good start for us against Braintree away with a comfortable 0-2 win with goals from new signings Jonathan Edwards and Nathan Clarke bagging the goals. We were very well organised and hit Braintree on the counter very effectively. Barrow at home next on Tuesday night. 3rd against 1st! Will be a very interesting game as both teams won very comfortably today and have been fancied by most to be bottom half/relegation. I look forward to it

Would have taken a point before the game and definitely happy with it now. Barnet are a good side and definitely dominated the last half an hour after we tired. There were times when I wasn't sure how Barnet didn't score.

Good to see Jake Cole back to his best

Thought that was fairly comfortable to be honest. Ebbsfleet weren’t great and we were only good for 20 mins. A wins a win

I'd forgotten what it's like to win games to be honest. It sounded like they still had a half chance or two at the end, so we'll have to just be a bit tighter, but a promising professional away win there.

I love Jamie Collins. Whenever a cool head is needed from the penalty spot captain fantastic is there.

Draw was what I was hoping for and is what we got. Eastleigh next

So...we are weak as expected. Taylor has us organised and solid but we had zero threat today. Mind you, we are missing a few of our better players through injury and I'm sure we'll add more on the attack front after losing Cheek. There's still some hope yet of us not being bottom 4.

Good news though. There is no way that that Boreham Wood team is doing anywhere near as well as last season. They were solid but had limited attack threat themselves. A completely different force without Andrade and Ferrier. Balanta was alright but yeah....mid table for the Wood this season I'm thinking, unless the rest of the league is also rubbish and gift wraps them a spot.

Hard fought and deserved win at Dover, I think.

They were bossing it first 10-15mins and hit the bar with a terrific strike about 20 yards out. Then I thought we got on top and deservedly took the lead, it looked an amazing overhead kick from a low cross from the other end.. will have to check highlights. Dover got a pen right on half time, cue SCENES when that was saved.. poorly taken pen.

Second half was a bit quieter, not too many chances for either side but still felt like we were in control. Dover started to lump it in the final 10.. couldn't really see from the other end what happened for the disallowed goal.

Read post-match that was our first win v Dover at the 9th attempt... About time!

Oh, and Mike Fondop is a fucking legend
