I suppose the first question is how many games will fall victim to the weather. Rovers hosting the improving Torquay seems to avoid the worst of the forecast on Wirral, but the night before temperatures could lead to a frozen pitch, if not adequately protected.

At the top, the televised game featuring 3rd v 2nd, looks as though it will be tight and Aldershot may take advantage at home to the strugglers from The Shay, but Sutton's trip to whatever Brisbane Road is called now is harder to call. At the other end, Marcus Bignot's Chester host his former club, in a battle of the strugglers.

If the game at Prenton Park gets the go-ahead, can see the visitors from Devon sharing the spoils.

We'll take our fourth consecutive league loss at Ebbsfleet unless there is a dramatic change in tactics/formation/selection/belief (any or all of the above) by Cox.

We have a very big pitch which theoretically means the tinpotters run out of steam in the last 15 minutes, but in reality just means that there’s plenty of room for Sutton’s fast players to run rings around our pissweak dogshite wage thieves.

Actually bothering with this one. Can’t wait.

Snow/ice on the terraces potentially more troublesome than the pitch for our game. I think the only time we've won on TV has been against relegated-later-that-season Ebbsfleet and Kidderminster. Wrexham don't concede, we don't score; going to be a cracker.

We've been trying to sign a striker for months and all we got was 3 days of Shamir Mullings with his broken eye sockets. Meanwhile Wrexham have replaced Reid already with some kid who was scoring for Bury last year.

Durrell out pretty much seals our fate, as we'e as reliant on him. Throughout this season in the spells where he's not in a game we look devoid of ideas going forward, with his being "rested" (probably to stop him getting booked...) for most of last week where we were pants, and then coming on to assist the equaliser, further proof of our reliance.

Holroyd to score, probably via a Jalal howler in front of the 5000 Wrexham fans.

Macclesfield absolutely OWN us. They always play like peak Barcelona against us.

Our league record against them is embarrassing, beaten them once in 15 years.

And it's nailed on that Danny Whitaker will score on his 19,000th appearance for Macc.

us too mate we have won 2/7 against them since we came down. as for us if we score early and first we win easily as we saw against maidstone halifax and daggers when teams have to attack us we hit them with quick effective counter attacks , the longer the game goes without us scoring the more chance of frustration setting in on the terraces and on the pitch and the more panicy and rushed the team get.

an optimistic 3-0 to rovers

I agree I think our game at Brisbane Road is hard to call. On paper perhaps we should be winning, but Football isn't played on paper. On the other hand Orient haven't won in ages, new manager in his first home game in charge and we do have a poor record in games after we've gone top. So a 'surprise' home win wouldn't be a surprise.

One thing we have improved on is our record away at teams struggling at the foot of the table with a 2-0 wins at both Solihull and Guiseley in the last month. But then within the last month we've also lost at home to Torquay.

This is a game I've been looking forward to all season so hopefully the boys in Amber will take the points. But any combination of results wouldn't shock me (other than 5-0+ either way)

Our game may be called off looking at the forecast at Gateshead. I won't be taking the risk travelling up there.

We'll likely lose if it does go ahead given our current FA Cup distractions.

Yea, but you're actually good this year aren't you? Our home form is terrible (6 wins in last 21 home leagues games), and you'll pay us back for the 1-0 at your place.

Aye, sign of how bad it's got when you're playing Dover, going there and expecting a good hiding.

Not doubt it will be low-scoring and cold

Waide Fairhurst as well even though he plays for Frickley Athletic.

Connor Jennings will somehow score in the match too.

Since Davis was sacked, the first two games showed some promise and improvement, we were unlucky not to win at least one of the two games against Dover and Chester, but my god the last two games at Solihull and Torquay we have been beyond appalling, the two worst performances I have ever seen my team put in in 23 years of watching them, I've never seen a group of players devoid of confidence belief and energy. Under two different managers, formations with a few changes as well.

The crowd have turned on the players as well "You're not fit to wear the shirt" has been correctly shouted at the players after the last two games and rightly so, leading to players coming over to the fans asking for patience which has led to a few arguments.

Our home record for 2017 reads W4 D3 L23 I think. With two of those draws coming in our last two home games, we've been crap at home now for four years, we've played well in about two games and we usually lose and are well beaten.

Heard a rumour this week that Edinburgh wants to move 7 players on in January and replace them.

The SMFC Annual Christmas Away Day is tomorrow so of course I am buzzing. Would be massive if we could win tomorrow against our old gaffer, but becoming increasingly concerned that we will turn up and they will call the game off at 2.50 :err:

Heh, would actually probably be some sort of poetic justice if so after August!

In all seriousness, we had an almighty blizzard this morning which completely covered us, pretty much melted a few hours later but that was followed by another blizzard which has melted again. Tomorrow’s forecast is mixed, probably not bad enough to force the game off though. Sunday is when we’re expecting the real heavy snowfall.

I hope it’s on as our injuries are clearing up and we went without a game last weekend. We'd have been wise to invest a yellow/orange ball or two though. :ohn:

I see we are preparing for our defeat at macc by not naming any centre midfielders. Carrington will probably end up there with Hurst, both are better at rb. Not sure what's up with wedgebury and wright.

Too scared to try and stop Danny Whitaker on his 123,623rd appearance.

Sorry but you'll have to pick another team to have as your bogey team, the Macc Express are ours and we don't like to share.

Oh that's just at Blundell Park by the way, we often beat them away.

It's sensible to write this one off and to save Wedgbury and Akil Wright for the busy Christmas period, this game was never anything other than a defeat.

Oh look, it's little old Macclesfield who are minutes from going out of business, with their tiny squad with no quality players. They never win at home either apparently.

Looks like we've got Macclesfield's latest random striker who suddenly starts scoring 50 goals a season for them.

Sure I heard a rumour Wrexham's defence was good.
