Odd game we never really tried in the 2nd half & the crowd were getting restless, final 2 goals were nice
Not impressed with Hartlepool, though Fylde & Orient better recently
Deverdics red card - was that fair?

Tranmere are still winning this awful league.

That's if little old, penniless, 'poor quality of player', no subs, don't win games at home Macclesfield don't.

To be honest that looked pretty blatant today. Always fancied us to control it when saw you had no proper CMs playing.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

If we'd been given a penalty, if we didn't have Dunn in goal, it could have been different. As I said I felt you deserved to win, but you werent 3 goals better than us. IN MY OPINION.

Tale of 2 torquays today: truly dreadful first half creating nothing but battled well secon half and were a little unlucky not to score .

As for rovers 3 goals 2 cleared off the line and Norwood missed a one on one... just needed a blatent penalty turned down for the set .

Hope the torquay lad that was carried off first half is ok, he looked in a bad way... seemed like his studs stuck in the surface but his momentum kept him going.

Macclesfield were better than us, but the weather and our attack minded substitutions were factors in them going on to score 4.

And for all their domination in the first half, after our equaliser, we could easily have been the side to go on and snatch a win. We might not have deserved it, but we had a chance there.

Macc were probably 2 goals better though, even though they were rattled when we actually put it on them a bit, we still rode our luck a lot. I'm sick to death of playing Macclesfield away, Fylde away, Aldershot away and all that i.e. games where you just know we will lose. Those are sides who play football and we have proven we can't deal with it. I'm sick to death of 67 year old Danny Whittaker playing against us. We've had a tough run on the road let's be honest, we've played all the top 7 sides away now bar Sutton and have already played our big derbies away from home too.

Is it Christmas yet?

Sure I heard a rumour Wrexham's defence was good.
Well done Macclesfield and without lynchpin Elliot Durrell. Jon McCarthy should never set foot in Chester again after releasing Elliot and Jonny Hunt.

Today shows why we're not winning the league. Halifax were solid, but we were dreadful and gifted them the three points.

Every team has shown why they're not winning the league at some point this season.

The scoreline was a bit flattering but a deserved win, I think we suprised Sutton with the way we set up to play - More like an away side, hitting on the break. Having said that our first two goals were a penalty and from a set piece.

Apart from one point blank save in the first half and the goal we conceded I thought we defended well, the best we have done all season with no silly individial errors and fucking around on the ball which we've been doing all season.

Had to withstand Suttons constant onalught into the box with long balls, but for once we actually got our tactics right, even Bonz N'Gala played well after two stinkers in the last two weeks. Sutton looked knackered by the end though, all the part time teams who've come here have slowed down with 15mins left on the clock, which partly led to our 4th goal although we got a bit of luck for once with the deflection and there was a foul in the build up.

Yes, our away form is going to be the key for us. We are now creating chances and reeling off the victories at home, but we have not been convincing away, even since the changes in personnel six weeks ago.

The scoreline probably flattered us a bit today, but there is no doubt we deserved the win. Torquay were well organised and stubborn but did not really trouble us in open play. They did look a lot better defensively than most of the struggling teams we have played.

Big win for us and 4 on the bounce. This league is like the Mascot Derby, all falling over each other to win it.

It's actually a relief losing heavily away at Macclesfield on a bitterly cold day. You know all is well and everything is normal.

Very true.

And for years I've been feeling guilty about forcing West Ham to play us on snow because the Match of the Day cameras were there. Poor Hugo Porfirio had never even seen the stuff before.

I feel a bit happier now we've had it done to us.

Saw you only had 4 subs today. You got a lot of injuries? How long is Rendell out for?

We had 5 subs, but McClure got injured in the warm up. I heard Rendell's knee flared up after enduring Bromley's artificial pitch, but its only a rumour and not confirmed by Waddock. He has been in good form so if he is fit to play against you i'd fancy him to score.

Guaranteed to score on Boxing Day. Hopefully not another hat trick though. Any chance you can recall Chris Arthur please?

Just wait till you go out the FA Trophy to a team who are even more tinpot than Boreham Wood.

Christ alive that was an important win today, turgid game on a heavy pitch following the snow clear up this morning mind you. The rotten luck we’ve had with injuries appears to be clearing, a few back today and there’s the difference. Hopefully we can get Archer fit again now for the next few important games.

Fear for Solihull, only redeeming feature was Osborne, who is only there for a few weeks to get fit.

That clean sheet was very much needed. Lose ground on the leaders a bit, but a 0-0 gives me more hope than a 5-4 win would have done

Maidstone do not yet have the infrastructure for league football, and I would not want us to be the pioneers to take on the ridiculous double-relegation rules. We all want to win every game, but another season of mid-table obscurity sounds quite attractive.

Thanks a bunch Sutton ... was expecting you to beat the plucky Orient, which would have got us out of the bottom 4, but what do you do ... get hammered by a team that haven't won for 3 months. I give up.

Is Torquays no21 one of their own or a loanee? Looked technically a cut above the rest yesterday from their side.
