Tough game against Solihull who’ve been excellent thus far. Gave us a really tough game at our place last season. I have a feeling we’ll win tomorrow though.

Elsewhere, Salford are a great price and I shall be backing them

our biggest test of the season away at Salford tomorrow. Big following expected of around 700-800 from Town to cheer the players on. I will be one of them. Can’t wait, confident we can get something given the way we’ve played and their poor start. It’s the right time to be playing them and their defence looks really shaky so I think we’ll score. Think we’ll win 2-1 with goals from Southwell and Kosylo.

Hoping for a first Pools win.
Played pretty decent in the 2 games I've seen & really should have had at least 4 points from them.
Poor finishing on Saturday & Harrogates keeper put paid to that.
Defeat tomorrow & the knives will be out for Bates, they're already being sharpened

I can see Maidenhead making it difficult for us. It will really test our creative ability as I'm expecting them to sit behind the ball for the majority of the match.

Luke Young only went off with a dead leg on Saturday so he should be back in contention, though I'd quite like Ricketts to give Pyke a go in the front 3 alongside Fondop-Talom and Maguire-Drew.

I wonder if Holroyd or Deverdics will appear on the bench this time. Both were apparently fit on Saturday but there was just nowhere to put them.

Hopefully we can start well for once tomorrow at Maidstone, we've started all three of our games so far very, very slowly. Falling behind in two and somehow taking the lead in the other.

We will no doubt create a chance or two, its whether or not our snail central midfielders can offer our backline some better protection than it has been of late.

Macauley Bonne signing a new contract has given us a small lift.

He’s gotta drop this daft formation he’s using, lose a striker and stick an extra midfielder (Hawkes or Woods) in to give us a bit more balance in the midfield, we were getting overrun Saturday.

Gotta win this tomorrow if they want the goodwill to continue, booed off Saturday and it doesn’t take long before you lose the fans up here.

Im expecting Orient to win pretty easily.

I have very little faith in the squad we have put together & our best defender (Finney) is likely to miss the game.

Agree.
Play bog standard 4-4-2 with Nico & James up front. Both skilful & will cause defences problems with thier pace, totally wasted at the moment

We aren't too clever in midfield and can be lazy at times. Having said that we have alot of pace in our team out wide and up front.

Blair Turgott is nailed on to score. Meh.

Still don't rate Blair Turgott.

It'll be a grind, but I fancy us to get the first three points of the season. Not really sure what team I'd go with, but Bonne, McAnuff, Brophy and Dayton should all be starting. I expect a big performance from Charlie Lee tomorrow, he was certainly good enough to run the show at this level a few seasons ago.

Going for a 2-1 win, Bonne to open the scoring early, Quigley to equalise (deservedly) after an hour, strong finish from Orient sees Dayton score a 25 yard cracker from a second ball in the 87th.

Fail to win here and I may start going hmmm.

I agree he needs to change but not 442, we don't have a single winger!

Simple move, not rocket science. Drop Cassidy and bring in another centre mid, go 352, will give more cover for the wing backs. Two deeper centre mids and one more advanced behind Muir and James.

Also, Laing will be playing tomorrow. We'll need a back 3 to try and compensate for that shitshow.

More injury worries for us, but I'm confident we can get a point out of Chesterfield tonight. Should be a good atmosphere as not many teams bring more than 100 fans, especially on a Tuesday night.

Think there will be 200 ish despite it being a right old trek.

Evo will no doubt have your lot up for it to try and get one over us on us, especially with the way those at the top treat him towards the end of his time here. We could get beat tonight I think if we aren't bang at it

I worry that he might be more preoccupied with 'getting one over on Chesterfield' and even go a little gung-ho. It wouldn't surprise me to see Josh Kay get himself sent off...

200/250 would be a decent turnout considering the distance and being midweek (Also think people will be saving their extra cash for a day/night in Manchester on saturday - I know I am).

Expecting a tough game tonight for no other reason than you've stated - Evo will be desperate to show Carson et al what he is made of. Having said that, I think we will win tonight 1 or 2 nil.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Not looking forward to tonight's match against D&R. A real test of squad morale and fighting spirit. Body language very poor after Saturday's defeat, some "exchanges" between players and fans, unusual for us. I don't know much about the latest D&R team, but any sort of heavy midfield enforcement will be enough to secure them the points. I really don't know where a goal is going to come from for the shots.

I hear Barrow have injury problems, but we have injuries ourselves after this weekends game. MA didn't mention any names but a few suggestions from fans are that Gozie Ugwu and Robbie Weir could be struggling for tonight's game. With that in mind my predicted XI in a 4-4-1-1 formation is:

Jalal
Barry Nelson Evans Talbot
Carter Wedgbury Weston Binnom-Williams
Hines
Fortunè

Think we should have enough to get the 3 points tonight regardless of the injuries, so going to go for a 2-0 away win.

On a side note, I don't understand this talk from Barrow fans that Josh Kay is gunna be 'fired up' and could end up getting sent off??? From what I saw from him last season there ain't an ounce of fight in his body. Looking forward to seeing the legend that is Evo though, top man, top player and hopefully going to be a top coach.

So far, in three games I've seen him, he's blown his lid and screamed in the face of the ref in a meaningless pre-season friendly, and grabbed a Havant player round the throat when he tripped him up. Both should have been reds. He seems like a psycho.

Decent player though.

I'd like to see him put his hands round any of our lots throats... Binnom-Williams would eat him alive

We don't win that much against Sutton, so hoping that changes tonight. Winfield back is key, and having Rance available is a big plus too.

I hope you win too. I've identified Halifax as the team I would most like to win this league this year.

Evo must have lit a fire under his ass then as he looked so powderpuff during his time here.

Can't argue with tonight's team, looking like a 3-5-2 to me, probably the strongest team he could put out.

Loach
Anderson Magnay Kioso
Donaldson Woods Noble Featherstone Kitching
Muir James

Feeling more confident now, let's get the first three points!

Just the one change in our starting XI for today's game as Sam Wedgbury comes in for the injured Gozie Ugwu.

It appears as if Brad Barry may also be injured as he drops from the bench

He obviously thinks I'm an authority on football as he's done exactly what I've told him to (apart from NOT PICKING Louis Laing, didn't want us on here to get too much right)
