It's a shame, I like Maidstone, at least they're here because for the right reasons.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Another dismal day at the Rec. Gateshead coasted the first half, then got some width to get behind our lumbering 3 centre backs, and it was all over.Apparently the hee'd were hit by injury, but still impressed, tactically if not technically. Shots pathetic, a shadow of a team, doomed from k.o. The fat lady has opened the hymn-sheet - "The day thou gave us , Lord, has ended".......

This Maidenstonehead. Didn't someone have them in the Tinpot but Respected table? Get to fuck. Relegate them 13 divisions down so we never have to see them again.

It’s surely impossible to respect a club with a plastic pitch? Especially one which clearly can’t win a scrum against the head.

Sounds like we weren't at the races at all today. I imagine our remaining games will have little excitement given our season is over.

We looked like a side devoid of confidence, but thankfully we were up against a pretty poor Barrow side. Denied a stonewall penalty by a woeful referee, but Barrow took pity on us by gifting us a comical own goal.

We haven't had many poor games this season but two have been against Barnet. We've defended well for a while prior to today, we just needed some goals and we would have been closer to the playoffs, not that any of us were expecting to be close after last season's debacle.

That was probably the win you needed, four points clear with numerous games in hand, I can't see you being anywhere near the bottom four come mid April.

We made hard, hard work of that 2-1 win. You don't actually realise how much of leveler the pitch at Havant is until you go there, can see why they've given most sides a hard game down there.

We badly struggled on another bobbly pitch for the second Saturday in a row, we just don't seem to get any flow on them - the opposition always catch us out with countless balls over the top.

Neither side did alot in truth - Two stunning goals though from Maguire-Drew and Rutherford for Havant, we won the game by scoring from a flick on from a long throw - The sort of goals teams down the bottom concede.

Can't knock Havants effort, but they lacked alot of quality in the final third. Apart from stoppage time when of course they have two golden chances to score, I didn't feel too threatened by them, even their goal was a wonder goal out of the blue. I still think they will go down, just not enough quality for this level in their squad.

Players knew at the end they got away with that, but at this stage its simply just about winning.

To Barrow on Tuesday where I think I might see a bit more passing on the floor!

Oh and also a massive Fuck off to Havant & Waterlooville FC in general - We had 1000 fans there and we're made to share only three toilets between all of us (men and women), they also only decided with 20mins to go to open up the side terrace part for us..............Why wait till the 70th minute?

So many fans spent the whole game queueing to use the toilets FFS.

Also there is no way they had 1000 fans there, must've been around 800, I'm sure we out numbered them............................

sigh.

It was a pretty tough game with few chances between the teams. Lainton wasn't really threatened throughout the game and I don't think he had to make any noticeable saves. I am a bit confused on how the Chesterfield keeper wasn't sent off for handling outside the box.

You have to say that Sheridan has done a good job making Chesterfield tough to beat, so I wouldn't want to face them next season.

John Still doing well at Maidstone I see...

Huge win for us and with Aldershot and Havant losing the table looks much better. Be nice if we could string an unbeaten run together so that we can really pull clear and start to prepare for next season.

I hope the Chesterfield fan who was taken ill is alright.

It was a tight game, I'd say a 1 goal margin seemed fair overall. I still can't see past Solihull taking the title but who knows? So long as we finish 2nd or 3rd, we should get to Wembley.

I can’t take much more of this Taylor-ball, we shithouse a draw at Harrogate and it seemed a fantastic result, bore off. We have some really good attacking players but the fun is completely sucked out of them by Taylor. Is it game 46 soon, please.

We were nearly reffed out of it. Referee decided to award a baffling corner to Chesterfield for a shot that sailed wide which led to a goalline clearance, and the ref decided to play 6 minutes of the 4 added on at the end.

I do wonder where we’d be if we hadn’t capitulated against you that night at the EBB in the play-offs - I fancy we’d have beaten FGR and gone up that season.
Basically in the last 18 months we’ve had a string of awful signings, lost all our best players from the last two seasons and replaced them with Conf South quality players.
Also a lot of rumours about financial issues behind the scenes, a manager who’s completely void of idea but refusing to walk away from the job and can’t afford to sack him.
The whole thing is a circus. I really hope next season we can do a Torquay but I really thing we’ll struggle to get back to this level for a good few years.

We only have to toddle up to Barrow on Tuesday beforehand.
Any chance you could have a search for One Decent Lester while you’re there, he was last seen there in mid August.

Really struggled to interpret ebb..... the rec to us oldies.

It's scary I've seen darlo, York, Stockport and Chester ( haha) really struggle down there, really wouldn't wanna see shots down there . Waddock is always talking about his love for the club so would he not step aside? He was linked with Bristol rovers a while back too?

Who would you want if you did go down? Bradbury?

Would want a change of ownership before anything else. No manager is going to do well under Shahid Azeem, fact.

East Bank Shot, you can have Reynolds and Alexander back poor players not the standard required for a team challenging.

Fair point luke, they hammered us at their place, best performance against us that season and were really impressive at our place too...undoubtedly Lincoln were the most consistent team however the shots were the best side we played against

To be fair Daggers fans think Cousins is a good keeper....! I've not seen a keeper as poor as him in a very long time for Barnet.

We all have different standards of what good looks like.
