Tranmere all over us, should've been out of sight. Feels like it's a cup tie and they're 2 leagues above us. All we've done (except for the build up to the goal) is go long to Blissett and it sails past/bounces off him. Tranmere just too fast for us all over the pitch and every ball forward is sticking.

But to be fair Danny Whitaker was bound to score on his 7000th appearance for Macclesfield Town.
Infuriating reality of our side. Far too wasteful. Massive 45 minutes

I imagine we'll just sit back and defend for our lives now. Still plenty of time for Tranmere to turn it around.

EDIT: and straight away it's 1-1

0-1 to the Orient.

Looks like it's us and Macclesfield going up then.

7,000 home fans and they bottled it. Tranmere in a nutshell. Looking forward to promoting some tinpot side at Wembley.

No way have Macc won the title yet. People are forgetting that they fall apart from March onwards.

Got out of jail with a late point again. Still, more points dropped at home and more ground lost. A horrible trip to Wrexham on Saturday too.

What a week so far for Macclesfield.

What a terrible week. God football gets you mad. Next up Dover so a really tough game and if Dover are a decent price jump all over it

Be surprised if you don't beat us Saturday. We've proved we can't deal with sides who pass the ball around and I get the feeling our fans are ready to turn after tonight's no-show again.

Just waiting for a chance to play Craig Harrison bingo with me mates and a six pack of Skol. Any takers on here when Harrison's post match comments are uploaded?

Can anyone send me some beta blockers?
A return to a team of footballers who actually pass to each other and keep possession of the ball moving up the pitch whilst keeping it tight at the back. Every player fighting for each other. Team spirit aplenty. A well deserved win.
Well done Sean St.Ledger, that's some turnaround from months of dross under Cox.

Thrown away another two points at home. Another major meltdown on our forum, but we dominated Gateshead for just about 90 mins, and one counter attack (admittedly with them down to 10) has cost us again.
I'm still confident we are staying up, but we can't afford to keep chucking away points at home - more than 3 months without a win and the fans are dwindling.

Would like to congratulate Macclesfield on the title and wish them the best of luck for next season.

For us its 1 win in 7 at home which is dreadful for a team fighting for the playoffs - yet somehow we're 3rd.

Good news is we are away on Saturday but then again we're due an away defeat.

From a Rovers perspective that was one of the most spineless second halves I have seen. Macclesfield played well and took their chances but from the point that Cook scored, except for one streaky effort that almost crossed the line at 1-2, we offered nothing. Micky Mellon should take some of the flak for not trying to change anything, it wouldn’t have altered the outcome, but might have given the home support some crumb of comfort to cheer about.

We haven’t got a hope in hell of reaching Wembley with performances like that last 45 minutes, so someone else can have the pleasure of losing to Boreham Wood.

Sounds like you watched our game by mistake tonight. Hope the Hartlepool fans feel as utterly miserable as we did travelling back from our drubbing up there.

Damn shame for us that we’ve come up against a side on such an upward curve. Credit to Leyton Orient, they’re much improved nowadays.

We couldn’t really work any chances and got tired later on, performance levels have improved massively though with the new additions. Plus we have a hell of a talent in young Tom Crawford.

Confident that we can win games with this team now, just hope we haven’t left ourselves with too much to do though.

Aside from two brilliant strikes from Durrell and our appalling defending, I thought the midfield was where we lost it tonight. Whittaker and Whitehead were excellent and Macc were much better in possession than us. We created chances but we were far too wasteful with the ball.

Such a shame for us. A great crowd and atmosphere and we balls it up again. The story of the last fifteen years.

As the 4th official raises the board to announce 3 minutes of injury time Torquay miss a sitter. 3 minutes later Louis John is bought down in the box and with virtually the last kick Jamie Collins secures all 3 points for the U's. Sometimes I absolutely love Football

Surprised Durrell is at this level. Always been good whenever I’ve seen him. He used to make a mockery of us when he was at Hednesford.

I still think Sutton are going to win the league and god knows what happens then with their 3G pitch
