Nice to see Sutton start the season well in their next pretend bid for promotion.

Decent 0-0. Maintaining our record of having never scored against Fylde.

Luke Young is a quality player and Maguire-Drew showed more skill tonight than any player we've had since Vose.

They get a penalty in every match they play, which helps a bit. That fat Collins scores about 40 a season.

Fuck's sake Pools. Needless stoppage time free kick given away and sloppy marking lets them in to equalise. Suspicions Loach might have done better with the save too.

Sounded a good lively performance though and better than most of the crap served at home last season. Still, is 2 points from Maidstone away and Harrogate at home a decent return? Hmm.

And it helps them waste 5 mins taking it as he waddles up from the back.

Sounds like Halifax battered us. Only positive is that the manager now knows just how much work is needed to stay up.

Two of our three centre backs went off injured, which means we need reinforcements already.

This is a refreshing change, team of local lads fighting for each other instead of a team of overpaid journeymen. Town seems to be buying into it as well with 1243 attendance with 98 away.

If Salford don’t buck their ideas up they’re in for a long hard season. Played awful football and looked like they had no ideas

We’re going down. Lost to a mediocre Boreham Wood and a poor Maidstone. Unless we get someone to invest midway through the season, I can’t see this group of players being near 50 points. Lots of heart but a real lack of quality.

Allen kept Barnet top for just about the whole season last time we were here. Good omen for Chesterfield...

Not a great start for us but at least we’re unbeaten. Sounds as though we need to work on our finishing, and hope that Tarpey gets fit soon and has recovered fully from his injury.

1-1 another fair result, little bit frustrating as always to let it slip at the end but Ebbsfleet were well worthy of a draw after a dominant first half - Which we scored with our only shot and chance. Its Tuesday night home games we are such slow starters and seem laboured, it happened all last season. We had more energy second half.

We was better second half, and nearly scored a second a few times - Ashmore played well in the second half, he kept Ebbsfleet in the game.

Good strike from Whitely on the slippery surface at the end.

Not a bad game, Ebbsfleet clearly a very good side for this level with good players and a good squad, a bit slow at the back was their undoing.

Lost George Elokobi after 30 seconds, useful defender at this level but far too injury prone.

Big result that for Gateshead, especially when you compare the two playing budgets and money spent.

Alexander and Salfords high earners will need to learn quickly how unforgiving this league can be.

Happy with a point away at Wrexham. Master D how was the game?

First half was a nothing really but we edged it in the second, though our keeper was forced in making the better saves. Offside goal looked it and we had chances from corners we should have done better with. Point is probably fair.

Rowe spent the game being a total arse and god knows how he wasn't booked at some point, Pearson and Smith had him on lockdown.

2 games and 2 clean sheets. God we really need to keep them both beyond Thursday.

Another 2-0 win for the shaymen tonight against Barrow. We were very effective. Held our shape extremely well and troubled Barrow on the counter. Barrow played some nice stuff but didn’t really threaten us with anything except a lot of pot shots. I expect they’ll stay up but not much more than that. Good away following from Barrow too on a tuesday night. Another winnable game against Maidstone at home on Saturday, come on town!

Not expecting anything from this season after a performance like that.

It says it all when we’ve hit the post 5 times in 2 matches but still manage to look awful going forwards.

Brilliant home performance from both the players and the fans inside the stadium, nice to start with a 3-0 win...

Charlie Carter though, that is all from me :2thumb::2thumb:

I can see ourselves and Fylde finishing very strongly after tonight's fixture. The best 0-0 I've seen in a long time.

I wonder if Rowe's managed to free himself from Shaun Pearson's pocket yet.

Well that was a disappointingly brilliant point.
We were crap!
1-0 up in 3 mins, followed by 42 mins of chucking it in the air. Good equaliser from Dover, brilliant save from Gregory, their no.8 hit an absolute rocket. From where I was sitting looked like a goal was bundled in, clawed out from behind the line and ref waved play on. How we weren’t 3-1 down at HT.
Of the little football played Dover were the better in the second period until our subs came on. For the third time in four goals and cross across the face was tapped in at the back post.
Penalty to equalise late on for us. Nicked a point at home, thankfully, I didn’t think Dover looked that good tonight but we were worse.

Jamie Collins is a superstar. Most teams would kill for a leader like him, any hate directed his way is jealousy

It was a decent game all round and on the balance of play a draw was probably fair, we have the makings of a decent team here Bates just needs to change it up a bit, three upfront is leaving us too exposed, go back to the formation we'd been playing most of pre season with 352, Muir is a poacher and needs to be the figurehead up top with probably James, Noble's far too good for this league on tonight's showing, absolute class.

Crazy decision in giving away the freekick, just stand him up, don't have to tackle him there, lose concentration and concede a daft goal, hopefully lessons learnt tonight, Harrogate were certainly no mugs and deserved their point, think they'll do well this season.

And one final point, 3623 for a Tuesday night game, pretty impressed with that.

Concord away looks attractive. Seriously even after two games we look bang in trouble. Nothing against Maidenhead this weekend will seriously be a new low. Can’t fault the effort or commitment but the quality is just not there.
