Haha. Defo a little bit. It has been a gripping group stage this year but Just sat outside enjoying the lovely weather and thought I get the table predictions threads started.
If I did it now, my prediction would most definitely change in the next few weeks, as right now (with only 1 striker) we’d logically be in the relegation zone haha.

Still too early for these predictions really
Makes a change from previous season with most thinking we'll get relegated.
Even Alan Alger might have us further up the table this season

Got this hopelessly wrong last season.

Want a well run normal club to go up. Would like to get rid of a bankrolled club, but success would only encourage others to make this league uneconomical.

Certainly going to be very open and very competitive, think any of 10 or 11 teams will make up the top 7 places, then apart from the bottom 6/7 teams the rest could finish in any random order... Here's my predictions.

2. Chesterfield
3. Hartlepool United
4. Salford City
5. Sutton United
6. Barnet
7. Aldershot Town

Intrigued to know why everyone thinks Halifax will finish so low. We've just turned full time for starters. Don't get me wrong, I don't think we'll make the playoffs but I think we'll be safely mid-table. What are your reasons behind it?

I've got you in mid table. As has been said you could throw a blanket over most of the teams. Someone like Halifax could challenge for promotion. Just on balance I put them in the middle.
We are transitioning to full time too and from December onwards we had the form of of top 6 side, confounding the predictions of this time last year where veryone said second season syndrome and had us bottom.

On a nicer note, I'm more pleased with our new local rivals this season. May our bitter rivalry with Chesterfield rumble on for years to come! Certainly more enticing than Maidenhead?! For us at least, I'm sure Chesterfield are preparing anti Moors songs and quivering with rage already.

I've tried to write a table but so can't do it. Who knows? I think we'll make the play offs but I think we will be fighting it out with the monied clubs: Salford, Fylde, Ebbsfleet etc. Boreham Wood and Bromley will probably be up there again. Sutton maybe? Who knows how Orient, Barnet and Chesterfield will do? Hartlepool should improve.

Really up in the air this year

It doesn't make much of a difference cos two-thirds of the league are already ''full time''. Also unless you have a big budget, turning full time at this level isn't the big thing you think it is.

You go from being able to sign the best part time players around your area, to now signing poor full time players who have dropped down to this level cos football league teams don't want them any more.

Most of the time these full time players are no better than the part time ones you had before & you end up paying them quite a bit more.

This is coming from a team who moved to full time & we seem to have actually got worse!! Only big difference i noticed is the players seem to be fitter due to training more.

I must admit, we did lose 2 players due to turning full time. One would have probably been our starting left back in Josh Wilde, the other would have been a squad player in Nathan Hotte. However, we've signed some really good players who I'm certain we wouldn't have got if we were part-time. That is also down to Fullarton's contacts but I think becoming full time was important for us as we missed out on a lot of targets due to being part time
