Not taken much notice since relegation to dog and duck league, absolutely shocked to see Aldershot near bottom thought they would be around play offs like normal, what’s happened?
But conference south is a lot easier than north, look at Braintree for example.
Only looked to see who would be making into Conferance North, with 6 of bottom 7 all south of London and can’t see Chesterfield coming down, will be interesting how they divide teams.

Using a totally made up formula in my head, I've deduced that 50 points will be way more than enough points to survive this season right? Am I wrong?

Braintree and Maidstone's chances are looking sketchy at best, both gonna have to string a serious run of wins together and I don't think Aldershot fans remember the last time they won.

Chesterfield will draw their way to survival, Barnet have half a seasons worth of fixtures to play out and should pick up enough points along the way, could be anyone from 14th position down really..

Don't even know where we are in the league, are we 13th yet?

I reckon FC Halifax will go down.

But I'd rather 4 southern teams go down, this league's geography is fucking murder for us.

We have indeed hit the lofty heights of 13th, top of the bottom half of the league if you will.

Maidstone, Braintree, Aldershot and Maidenhead.

With 4 southern teams going down, 2 teams will have to be moved from the south to the north. As things stand it would likely mean Braintree & Oxford or Hemel Hempstead being moved.

Not that bizarre really when a few years back they had Bishop's Stortford playing in the Conference North.

Keep an eye on Dover after a couple of defeats with players rejected by Maidstone. Don't know how many of those are playing though. Would be a shame to lose two Kent clubs.

I remember it well. Antoni Sarcevic hit the winner for us with a world class free kick. Decent day out. If Asante gets injured again I honestly can't see where the next goal is coming from let alone the next win.

I'd like to think Sheridan will kick us up the backside and keep us up but after the last 3 season I wouldn't rule anything out to be honest.

For what its Worth Braintree, Havant and Maidenhead are the 3 worst teams I've seen us play this season - Mainly because they had absoultely minimal goal threat when we played them.

Braintree couldn't defend to save their lives, couldn't fault Havants effort though - even at 4-0 down they kept going against us.

Maidstone didn't look terrible in the first two games we played them this season - But by the third they looked woeful, although John Still is shrewd appointment.

Aldershot parked the bus against us but looked capable enough, but they now look nailed on to go after no win in three months.

If Havant and/or Maidenhead stay up then IMO they will struggle again next year.

We have significantly improved since we last played you, largely down to a couple of shrewd loan signings and a switch to 433. I expect us to be competitive on Saturday though you guys are clear favourites.

We will just about stay up I think though our biggest problem is our total lack of depth. Devonshire is generally shrewd on a small budget but his summer business was dire and only loan signings have made us competitive. I'm hoping none of the summer signings are contracted for more than a year. We can survive for a while yet at this level if we make well scouted signings like Devonshire did in his first 3 years here and his time at Braintree.

Certainly can't see Braintree being moved north. I think Oxford and Hemel most likely due to transport links.

It's also possible that only two Southern teams come up from step 3 thanks to the new super playoffs. That would keep Hemel in the south I think.

From what I've read the step 3 play off situation will be

The winner of the the Isthmian play offs v winner of Southern South play offs = winner going into the National South.
Northern Premier play off winner v winner of Southern Central play offs = winner going into the National North.

This plan means 3 Southern & 3 Northern teams replace the the relegated teams from step 2.

Just looked at Aldershot, they haven’t won since 3/11 and only got 4 points in that time.next 4 games for them are crucial.
Reminds my of when we had McNamara in charge.we sacked him end of October and got 15 points from period Aldershot have taken 4 but still went down.
I would want a change of to stand any chance,

That's how I understand it. Biggleswade Town is the most South Eastern club that might win that play-off and that's on the A1 near Bedford.

The greater problem is which existing National South clubs should be moved if 4 southern clubs come down. Oxford and Gloucester have both been in National North before, but the latter could be relegated. If that happens Hemel Hempstead look like the next candidates. It's right next to the M1 but it's almost within walking distance of St Albans, so you'd be splitting two of the most local rivals in the entire league.

Gloucester`s form since their managerial change has been good. Can see they staying up and transferring to the North

Going down might be the best solution. Look at Torquay and I bet they have a decent season next if they do go up.

Torquay remained full-time. I don't see us doing that and I think summer would be a tough slog to get through financially. It would not surprise me if the beg bucket came out again from penniless megalomaniac Azeem.

I never thought that you losing Cheye Alexander and Calum Reynolds to us would be such a massive blow!

Ideal scenario would be Maidstone, Aldershot, Braintree, Havant relegated, Stockport, Chorley/Spennymoor going up and and Macc and Morecambe down to redress the balance in this division and stop northern clubs being geographicaled out of it.

Havant are that bad at the back & it doesn't look like they will score enough, so i see them going down as the 4th team [hopefully]

Havant didn't look that bad at ours before Christmas but their time wasting was horrid, counted their keeper getting cramp 7 times after the 46th minute. We were crap and there for the taking but they'd rather tinpot their way to a draw instead.

Hope we're still not looking at Lee Bradbury.
