Fantasy players the world over will be watching this one praying that Kane doesn't have another slow start.

Hoping for a repeat of last time. Heard a rumour that Sissoko has been good in pre-season, but it sounded like a joke.

He's playing in a role with less defensive duties today. Could be good for him, cos he's a right lazy bastard.

Dummett will volley the cunt in to the stands if he tries anything.

It's really harsh. Was fantastic all last season. Don't like Elliot me, one of Pardew's pets. We tried to sign a new number 1 this summer so neither are wanted by Rafa long term.

And I say long term, but if we don't get our shit together and back him with money then Rafa wont be here long term.

Really? But if he can't be in the PL anymore there's still Hollywood for him. Too good looking this guy :D

btw: Good luck against (Hotten)Tottenham!

Dummett looks done after a challenge on Sissoko.

Maybe we'll be forced to buy a left back now. Every cloud and all that.

Atsu is really good at getting to the byline, but hasn't really made a chance yet.

Compare that Kane challenge to Cahill's yesterday?

Video reffing would greatly improve the consistency.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.

Cahill's should have been a yellow too.

Anyway, video reffing is only a season away and I'd bet my house on that. Let's just enjoy the excitement of could've for another 10 months until it's gone forever.

If Spurs hadn't savagely assaulted most of our players I'd say get Mitro on for Gayle. If we're going to play this way we need someone who can hold it up and bring others in to play.

That Kane challenge is exactly the sort of cowardly act that broke Ban Arfa's leg. Cunt.

I reckon that's a red for Kane. It's a scissor kick, both of Kane's legs forcing the defenders leg in different directons. I wasn't surprised to see the defender go off injured.

The Spurs' game plan seems to be 'score from 20+ yards' and Newcastle look like they're hoping for a wonder pass behind the Spurs defence from Shelvey. It's not making a fun game.

In other news, Newcastle's defensive organisation is very impressive. They're switching to a 4-4-2 off the ball and cover the channels very well, but Tottenham have to start switching the play a bit. Not that Dier or Dembele is quite the central midfielder you want for that, but when Eriksen comes deep Newcastle's back four is laughing.

Also, Kane stares at the ball an incredible amount. It's like he's terrified of taking a bad touch and then he takes a bad touch.

He had a decent opportunity to put Sissoko, who was in a massive amount of space, through for a one on one early on in the game but he was too busy staring down at the ball to see him.

You could literally have described his first involvement in the second half with this post as well.

I don't wanna jinx it but he's always shit in August.

Shelvey is such a moron. Tops Fabregas for stupidest red card of the weekend.
