No PL game is easy - except Chelsea at home, obviously - but Newcastle away always seems particularly difficult. I'd take a point ad I think we'll get it but nothing more. 1-1.
Would like to see Dendoncker start as I'm not a big fan of Bennett. I'd also like to see Saiss keep his place and rest Neves; the Neves-Mutinho pairing hasn't been working for some games.

Been on a good run lately. If we beat these clowns, I think the title race is back on.

Always seems to be a red card when Mike Dean is in charge - probably was tbf.

Wolves nick it in injury time !

Why even play the match when they have already decided who they want to win?

Buzzing mate, had a cracking weekend. Great result for your boys.

Yeah mate, we've been poor for the last couple of months so to bounce back with 6 points vs Chelsea and Newcastle was huge.

Also, Benitez crying about VAR is pathetic. Let me remind him, and any Newcastle fans about Mitrovic kicking Ikeme in the face a couple of seasons ago and only getting a yellow card, he then goes on and scores the winner but no mention of that in his press conference.

Where was VAR back then Rafa?

Well like most things in football managers only complain when things go against them .

The Newcastle player got himself caught on the ball in the first place ..

Can't remember who scored it (think Jarvis) but we also had a goal disallowed versus Newcastle during the previous Prem season where Doyle controlled and kept the ball in on his chest and the ref gave it as out. It was the year we got relegated.

Nice to see Jota hinting some form. Was clear we over played him last season as until January he was unplayable. Then from Jan to about 3 weeks ago was just completely shot/off form. Been great last two.

Traore is looking like a 18million pound version of Joe Mason. In that I have no idea what he is meant to offer. I'd happily take half what we paid for him this January.

Not defending him but he's been better than Costa this season.

Seen that around but not having it personally. Costas ball in today for example. He also doesn't just stand there when we don't have the ball. Traore gave that foul second half where he tried to tackle with his left and then clumsily stood on the guys ankle with his right somehow. That guy has zero coordination.

Loved watching the game in a bar in Addis. No sound as they were blasting out Bob Marley and Teddy Afro. Funny though, because even with the loud music I could hear Rafa whining.
I also thought about the Mitrovic/Ikeme incident a few seasons ago when he was already on a yellow.
Personally I thought Dean and one of the linesmen had a poor day: there really were abysmal decisions against both teams throughout the game. With another set of officials, I think there would have been more goals by both sides.

But not for the first time this season, we really struggled against ten men. Every time Newcastle came forward they looked capable of scoring, and we seemed bereft of ideas. However, Gibbs-White was a game changer, and I think he might still have been even if there had been eleven Newcastle players on the pitch.

Yes, we were lucky. Yes, we didn't deserve the three points. Yes, Boly has a guardian angel. But that's football. The number of times we have suffered late heartbreak though (Arsenal a few weeks ago, Arsenal 8 years ago from Bendtner, etc)..... it happens to everyone.

Funny that. We were saying the exact same thing about Traore. He's like an incredibly fast , expensive toddler.

Hand on shoulder is illegal now?

Learn sarcasm buddy. It was an incident missed by the officials though, like it happens to both teams all the time.

You still haven't responded to the Mitrovic incident, funny eh?

It would be unwise for me to comment on matters pertaining to a player under contract with Fulham FC Football Club.

What does he do with the pace though? the runs he makes off the ball are more often than not, the wrong ones. As neither put him in a good spot to receive the ball or open up space for anyone else on the man on the ball.

If he could pass and shoot along with his raw pace he'd still probably be at Barca.

He looked a monster of a talent when he was there, he gave them something more direct, though they have moved on with better players in Dembele and Coutinho to do that. Still would have him at Liverpool, there is a gem there waiting to be discovered.

Traore tore Morgan Fox a new arsehole in the League Cup game, then again me after 10 pints and 2 lines of sniff could cause Morgan Fox problems.

Everytime i've seen Morgan Fox on TV I'm amazed how plays football for a living, especially at Championship level. I remember Bobbin' said he was shit in L1 and then he goes gets a contract at a club in the league above.

Least positional awareness I’ve seen from any footballer, ever.

Can’t head the ball, can’t mark, can’t defend, can’t attack and this was all in L1. Honestly, he must wake up every day praying it wasn’t just a dream.

It's actually getting embarrassing now, he got booed off the pitch when he got substituted the other week which I didn't agree with, but since then he's become even worse. He was absolutely terrified of making a mistake on Saturday which in turn made him make cock ups, I honestly don't think he'd be anything more than a bog standrard League One left back, if anything he looks more a centre back.

Don’t think he’s even bog standard League One to be honest. National League maybe, all his weaknesses are basic. Think they would be exposed at any level of league football. Just a really bad footballer.

I think he is a great talent but something needs to unlock it. Someone who just runs around fast isn't much help to a team. It gives you a flash of "Oh wow" but theres almost inevitable instant disappointment.
