Lots of clubs Trinity haven’t played in decades!

Gainsborough have agreed a deal that sees Lee Sinnott staying at the club, which is good news - if they’d had got rid of Frecklington just a week or two before they did I think Trinity would have had enough about them to stay up. Other news is that they’ve signed Joe Maguire from Buxton, although Gainsborough seem to be more excited that he’s Harry Maguire’s older brother than whether he’s actually any good.

Stalybridge have hired Simon Haworth as manager, been at Clitheroe the last two seasons, but left because he wasn’t allowed a budget to push top 5

Former Wigan and tranmere player, got another tranmere player in Gareth Roberts as assistant

Wasn’t Simon Howarth an agent at some point, maybe even Gareth Roberts agent? Another reason for me to try and make a Stalybridge game sometime.

South Shields will be without their captain Julio Arca..........he's hung up his playing boots.
He'll certainly be missed.

I see Nathan Jarman has left Gainsbrough and signed for Mickleover Sports. Decent signing that.

South Shields have confirmed that four players have been released as the club prepares for life in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.

Jamie Holmes, Aksel Juul, Alex Nicholson and Luke Sullivan have been let go by the Mariners, while experienced frontman Graeme Armstrong has been transfer-listed.

I'm quite surprised he's dropped down a division, after playing in the NLN last season. He's certainly capable of holding his own in the NLN!

They've also picked up Niall Doran from Buxton, and Curtis Burrows from Grantham Town.
Looks like they've signed for a club that's clearly going forward.

Nah, Nathan Jarman is pants. Was part of Chester's record breaking season but still only managed 14 goals.

Wonder if Liam Hardy from Buxton will find himself a move to the NLN. He seems to have the right pedigree to be a 20+ a season striker at NLN level.

Louis Briscoe and Matthew Barnes-Homer were there last year also, dunno if they were retained or not. Both of them certainly get around.

A dirty team were Mickleover

Jarman will still bring a wealth of non-league experience to a little club like Mickleover Sports i would imagine?

I liked Liam Hardy when he was with us a few year's ago. But i don't think his style of play suited Martin Gray, he'll always score goals at any level that's the way he is a natural goal scorer. He won't leave Buxton i don't think? Bagged 34 last season for them, plus he has a chance of being one of their top goal scorers of all time for the club.

I think Louis Briscoe is still at Mickleover, but that Matthew Barnes-Homer is on a duel registration as a striker with Halesowen Town. If they get around a lot they might have moved on to pastures new?

Certainly a strange ground to visit Mickleover.

Micklover say they will release details of a "huge breaking news story next week".

This is either going to be that they’re hosting a Bootleg Beatles concert or they’re announcing that the local used car magnate wants to make them yet another National League Premier hobby club on crowds of 83.

Norwich City legend Ian Culverhouse is the new manager of Grantham Town.
Less than a month after stepping down at King's Lynn Town at the end of the season.

The only thing I'm arsed about with Shaw Lane folding is whether Gainsborough get a reprieve, as the relegated side from Step 2 with the most points. Shirley they can go a further 145 years without a promotion or relegation?

Wait, does this mean that the strongest Step 3 side get a reprieve instead? Would that be Tooting?

The Football Association has deducted 12 points from Rushall Olympic's record last season and imposed a fine of £100 for playing an ineligible player Dominic Dell in 17 league fixtures when his contract registration had not been approved in accordance with league and FA rules.

Matlock Town boss Dave Hoole expects his summer signings will help his squad.

Former Boston United pair, full-back Jan Yeomans and midfielder Harry Vince have signed on after loan spells at Causeway Lane last season, along with former Chester City winger Jordan Chappell, Alfreton midfielder Marcus Marshall and Jerry Nash, another midfielder, who was with EVO-STIK League South champions Basford United last season.

Got my Stalybridge Season ticket....am hoping to get to 10 curzon games also, another fresh blooming start.

Only have 2 players so looking a tough tough season, one hope for them is between both Ashton clubs, Altrincham, FCUM and Stockport there should be some good pickings of players not quite good enough for Conf North who should be good enough for Evo prem.

first child being born end of august and my partner wants me to either take baby to games (to give her some peace) or not drastically be out the house too long on Saturdays.....I live 5 mins walk from Stalybridge ground, Ashton takes me 45 mins to walk or 15 min bus.

IT means i can either take baby with me (and its quite a good spacious covered ground for a pram) or if i go to games i can leave flat at 2.45 and be home 5.15, Curzon isn't the best of grounds for a pram, very cold and open ground..............was more logistics than personal choice.

will get to some Curzon games in them early months when i can dump kid on the wife........but after that its just much easier to go this route.

Think i'm not the first to go with two tameside clubs, seem to be a few go to Ashton United and Curzon....weirdly.

Former York City striker Jason Walker has joined EVO-STIK Premier League side Workington.

The 34-year-old marksman was released by National League North club Chorley after recording seventeen goals in 60 appearances over the past couple of seasons.

Good signing for Workington, Jason is a top pro and will get goals for them next season. Very popular at all his former clubs, did very well for us over the last 2 seasons, not an easy decision to let him go. Good luck Jason.

I see a number of players have left Shaw Lane. Has the money run out there?

I read somewhere that the owner has walked away because the league won't let them include Barnsley in their name. Can see them drifting quickly down into the abyss.

I see, makes sense. Taking a new born to football, you're a braver man than I. Do you live in Staly town centre then? I used to work around that area a few years back
